Σχετικά με εμάς
SmartVitiNet is an EU project funded by the European’s Union’s European Innovation Council and SMEs Executive Agency (EISMEA) for a Smart and Sustainable Drone-assisted Viticulture Excellence Network. The SmartVitiNet project aims to (a) scale up, pilot and bring to the market an innovative holistic phytosanitary and plant protection system based on the use of 🚁 unmanned aerial vehicles, new observational platforms, and new ready-to-use sensors, and (b) establish a Competence Center for Precision Viticulture. The proposed research will not only enable the synergies between members of the quadruple helix, but more importantly, it will utilise their complementary knowledge, experiences, and infrastructure in the specific area to achieve the proposed innovative results. The sustainability of the undertaking will be ensured thanks to the establishment of the Competence Centre for Precision Viticulture which aims to upskill sector professionals, create expert networks, and facilitate permanent flows of knowledge transfer between academia, innovative SMEs, viticulture professionals, and regional authorities to increase sector competitiveness, while enacting EU environmental policies, reducing sector health impact and risks of food pollution. SmartVitiNet is expected to significantly impact regional and EU sectors of Agriculture, Health, Environment, and ICT. 🇪🇺 SmartVitinet is an EU EISMEA-funded project, with 11 partners from 4 EU countries(🇬🇷 Greece, 🇵🇹 Portugal, 🇨🇾 Cyprus, and 🇫🇷 France) 🧩. The implemented concepts and ideas will be deployed in several pilots where the feasibility of the work done will be verified and validated so that it will go beyond a theoretical proposition and be proven worthy of being used in a real-world scenario. Tomorrow, 12th of April, SmartVitiNet project will be presented in the Women in Business and Beyond Conference by the dissemination manager Future Needs! During the practical workshop, Future Needs will share funding opportunities in the agriculture, healthcare, and STEM sectors, where women are often time under-represented. The aim is to help more women access the financial resources to drive impact in research and innovation. We are honoured to be featured in such a great initiative!
Future Needs will be hosting a practical workshop at the Women in Business and Beyond Conference in Cyprus to help more women access the financial resources they need to drive impact in research and innovation. Despite progress, significant gender disparities remain. • Femtech startups with female founders receive 23% less funding than those led by men. • Women make up only 28% of the STEM workforce. • In EU agriculture, the gender pay gap stands at 18%. 💡This session is designed for innovators who want to make a difference! We will explore sectors such as education, healthcare, agriculture, and transport - sharing real examples, discussing funding and research opportunities tailored to each field, and guiding participants on how to navigate the application process to secure EU support for their projects. Save the date - we hope to see you at our workshop!

Do you know that wine isn’t just red and white? there’s an entire spectrum of colors, each colour reflects the grape skins, fermentation, and tradition of the making! The deep hues come from grape skins soaking in the juice during fermentation, this is what makes red wine it’s beautiful red colour. The longer the contact, the richer the color and tannins!🔴 ⚪ White wine gets its colour by pressing grapes and removing the skins immediately. This process gives a fresh and light taste! 🌸 Rosé is not a mix of red and white! Instead, it’s made by letting red grape skins stay in contact with the juice for a short time, just enough to give it that iconic pink hue! Next we have a very special guest- maybe some of you have never heard of, or tried orange wine!🧡 It is white wine fermented with the skins on, giving it a bold amber color, complex flavors, and a slightly tannic bite. Each color has its technique, tradition, and terroir. Enjoy your weekend with a glass of wine! #WineFacts #Winemaking
