Σχετικά με εμάς
SEKPY is a non-profit organization whose main objective is to support and promote the interests of its members, and to develop the local defense industry to meet domestic and international needs in order to reduce the large national trade deficit in the defense equipment sector. SEKPY was established in March 1982. The founding members were initially 20 companies with experience in the defence industry employing about 2,000 workers. Over time, more companies joined the Association and today almost all Greek defence industries are members of the Association, which directly employs 19,500 people. The companies are organized, operated and managed according to modern standards and procedures that have been successfully evaluated by foreign organizations and manufacturers who undertake the defense workload. Most of them meet all the requirements of the Allied Quality Assurance Procedures (AQAP) and the International Organization for Standardization (ISO).

One year of Swedish membership in NATO: Security interests from the High North to the Eastern Mediterranean On March 10, the Embassy of Sweden in Athens and ELIAMEP (Hellenic Foundation for European & Foreign Policy) acknowledged the one-year anniversary of Sweden’s membership in NATO by inviting members of the diplomatic, defense and business community in Athens to a seminar on the topic of Greek-Swedish security relations and defense innovation. Keynote Speakers Thanos Dakos, National Security Advisor to the Prime Minister of Greece, and Johan Frisell, Head of the Security Policy Department at the Swedish Ministry for Foreign Affairs, both gave forward-looking speeches on Greek-Swedish cooperation both within NATO and bilaterally. The Keynote Speeches were followed by two panel discussions, moderated by diplomatic correspondent Alexia Tasouli. At a time when we face a serious security environment, Sweden’s NATO membership is indispensable for our security. Together with our allies and in a spirit of solidarity, Sweden contributes to security and stability in our neighbourhood and the wider Euro-Atlantic area. Thank you to ELIAMEP for co-organizing this event with us, to the European Parliament Liaison Office in Greece for hosting us, and to all the participants for sharing your valuable insights.
