As one of the few companies leading the market of automotive supplied components, ETEM Gestamp plays a critical role in the CYRUS-HD project, contributing with its extensive expertise in the evaluation and analysis of critical micro-defects such as roughness and pickups may appear during the extrusion process. In the automotive industry, quality is non-negotiable. Even micro-defects on aluminium profiles may lead to issues during milling, passivation or anodizing causing production delays and result in increasing internal and external poor quality costs. On September 27th, at Researcher’s Night, we glimpsed into the future of industrial procedures and operations! D-cube showcased its groundbreaking augmented reality solutions and, together along with the visitors, we explored remote training and complex architectural aluminium systems assembly, by exploiting digital data in real-time. The solutions are implemented at Architectural Aluminium Academy (AAA), the BUILDING SYSTEMS INNOVATION CENTRE for the Architectural Aluminium Systems sector of Alumil. The solutions and tools, that are included, are being developed and enhanced in the context of MOTIVATE XR EU-funded project, promoting innovation in training and industrial production procedures. The aim? To revolutionize training and production processes in the aluminium sector!
