Dentons was delighted to host a successful hybrid seminar with over 100 participants joining in person and online. Last week, Dentons co-hosted with KPMG Luxembourg the event “Managing Cross-border Investigations in Luxembourg in a Changing Regulatory Landscape". Indeed, this event was a great and necessary opportunity to discuss about the policy changes in the United States under the Trump administration, such as the recently announced reassessment of #FCPA priorities, and their impact on European companies operating worldwide, including in Luxembourg. We were delighted to welcome Maxwell Carr-Howard, Global Co-Chair of the Dentons Global Compliance and Investigations practice and Joydeep Sengupta, Partner and Head of Global Compliance and Investigations in Paris, to #Luxembourg to advise our clients on navigating this new enforcement environment. The Dentons Global Compliance and Investigations practice advises clients on obligations relating to anti-bribery and corruption, anti-money laundering, sanctions and embargoes, banking and regulatory, as well as data privacy and cybersecurity laws across the 80 countries where we operate. Bob Dillen from KPMG Switzerland and Cyril Magnien from KPMG Luxembourg also discussed the practical aspects of conducting complex cross-border investigations across European jurisdictions, including the use of AI and advanced forensic technology to respond to regulatory requests. [Deal 🤝] Dentons – Paris, Luxembourg, Bruxelles advised Laboratoires Théa on a partnership with Novaliq GmbH for the commercialization of the medicinal product VEVIZYE® in the EU and other selected countries Dentons Paris advised Laboratoires Théa in its strategic partnership with Novaliq GmbH for the acquisition of the rights to develop, manufacture and commercialize Vevizye® in the European Union, the United Kingdom and selected countries in the Middle East and North Africa. Vevizye® is the only water-free ciclosporin 0.1% eye drops solution approved in the EU for the treatment of moderate to severe dry eye disease (one of the most common ocular surface disorders) in adult patients which has not improved despite treatment with tear substitutes. Laboratoires Théa was supported by Dentons Paris’ multidisciplinary team, led by Julien Le Guyader (Partner and co-head of the Paris Life Sciences team), with Guillaume Kessler (Partner, Corporate), Loïc Lemercier (Partner, Intellectual Property), Jessica Garestier (Counsel, Life Sciences) and Caroline Pucel (Counsel, Corporate).
