Clap de fin pour RF CONNECT à Limoges ! La semaine dernière, Wupatec participait à la toute première édition de RF CONNECT. Deux journées riches en échanges, découvertes technologiques et belles rencontres autour de la RF, des réseaux privés et de la 5G/6G. Nous avons eu le plaisir d’ouvrir nos portes aux visiteurs pour présenter nos solutions de test RF et partager notre savoir-faire. Merci à toutes les personnes venues lors des visites et à la table ronde ! Un grand bravo aux organisateurs et aux entreprises partenaires pour cet événement réussi. Hâte de poursuivre ces échanges et de faire grandir ensemble l’écosystème tech français 🇫🇷 -- Wrapping up RF CONNECT in Limoges! Last week, Wupatec joined the very first edition of RF CONNECT in Limoges. We had two great days full of talks, demos, and good conversations about RF, private networks, and 5G/6G technologies. We also opened our doors for technical visits — thank you to everyone who came to see our test solutions and shared their questions and ideas with us! And a special thanks to the organizers and partners for making this event a success. Let’s keep in touch and keep building the tech community together!

What are the real takeaways from MWC Barcelona 2025? AI-powered networks, Non-Terrestrial Networks, O-RAN, private 5G… These were some of the biggest topics shaping discussions this year. According to Stephane Dellier, CEO of Wupatec: "AI was everywhere—some applications were impressive, others just marketing hype. But real progress is happening, especially in AI-RAN, where self-optimizing, adaptive networks are taking shape to improve performance and energy efficiency. NTNs were another highlight. LEO satellites are advancing direct-to-cell communications and integration with 5G, with NTT Docomo leading the way on a multi-layer approach combining HAPS, LEO, and GEO satellites. O-RAN is evolving fast, with vendors working to differentiate while ensuring interoperability. The private 5G market is booming, but its success depends on tailoring solutions to real-world use cases. And on the hardware side? The first commercial macro radio with a GaN envelope tracking amplifier. The FR3 band isnt's just the main candidate for the next-generation 6G communications it’s also an opportunity to re-model the spectrum. The FR3 Band: A game-changer for the future of wireless communications? The FR3 band (7.125 – 24.25 GHz) is starting to eventually gain attention. In between sub-6 GHz (or FR1) and mmWave (FR2), it could be the missing link that balances coverage, capacity, and spectrum availability for next-generation wireless networks. Right now, part of the band is used for military and satellite communications. But its potential for wireless networks is huge: it promises to combine the advantages of the adjacent bands (FR1 and FR2) while minimizing their drawbacks. Wupatec joins the MAGENTA project We are proud to be part of MAGENTA, a research and development project funded by #France2030 and led by MACOM through its European Semiconductor Center (MESC). This program aims to develop a new generation of Ka-band MMIC circuits, improving energy efficiency and boosting performance in 5G-FR2 networks and LEO satellite communications. At Wupatec, we bring our expertise in RF front-end and power amplifier design and caracterisation to help address the challenges of high-frequency communication. This is a strong collaboration with MACOM, XLIM, CISTEME, and Nokia Bell Labs, combining our strengths to drive innovation in semiconductors, telecom, and future 6G advancements.
