Ready to experiment KIX's new terminal 1? Major modernization and extension works have increased Kansai International Airport capacity to 40 million passengers annually and improved quality of service including a top-level retail experience. How? By introducing new retail areas, the largest walkthrough duty free in Japan, spaces designed to reflect various passengers profiles transiting through the airport, and one of the biggest business and premium lounge in the world (with a capacity of more than 1,000 passengers), the airport offers a welcoming and memorable experience for passengers. VINCI Airports has also deployed all its operational know-how to streamline and improve the passenger journey: - new check-in areas with a 'self-bag drop' system shared between airlines, - 10 latest-generation security screening inspection lanes - immigration control procedure by eGates, among the fastest in the world - call-to-gate technology for better passenger comfort and optimal gate allocation. These innovations increase capacity and reduce waiting times (95% passengers pass through security controls in less than 5 minutes), and offer a quality of service worthy of VINCI Airports' best standards. We look forward to welcoming the world in Kansai for the Osaka Expo 2025! #Expo2025 #Osaka #KIX #KansaiInternationalAirport Kansai Airports VINCI Airports https://lnkd.in/eiXAXRFN

Budapest airport takes major step forward with Sustainable Aviation Fuel (SAF)! 🇭🇺✈️ As part of the VINCI Airports network since June 2024, Budapest Airport has reached a significant milestone by obtaining the ISCC EU certification for the distribution of SAF through its subsidiary, Airport Fuel Supply Ltd. This certification is a key step in meeting the European ReFuelEU requirements, which mandate a minimum of 2% SAF in fuel distribution starting from 2025. Produced from vegetable or animal fats, that cannot be recycled elsewhere, SAF can reduce greenhouse gas emissions by up to 80% over its lifecycle compared to fossil jet fuel – a crucial solution to act on airport scope 3 by reducing aircraft emissions. Budapest Airport joins VINCI Airports' pioneering efforts, alongside other European platforms such as Aéroport International de Toulon Hyères, Aéroport Clermont-Ferrand Auvergne, Aéroport Grenoble Alpes Isère and Saint Nazaire to introduce SAF.
