Liquid gases cover the energy needs of 20 million EU citizens and 700,000 businesses in rural and off-grid areas. Thanks to their efficiency, portability, and flexibility, liquid gases can play a vital role in reducing emissions while ensuring access to energy in regions where traditional energy infrastructure is unavailable.

As an industry, we are focused on the fuels of tomorrow to ensure that rural and off-grid businesses continue to have access to affordable low-carbon energy solutions which not only ensure they contribute to net zero but remain a competitive and viable sector of the economy. However, rLG (renewable liquid gases) such as bioLPG and rDME need recognition as low carbon to ensure investment is secured to achieve both Europe’s climate ambitions and to contribute to European economic activity as well as ensure a secure and resilient future. Renewable Liquid Gases (rLG) are clean burning, producing very low concentrations of harmful air pollutants and can drop into existing LPG heating systems. Produced from sustainable feedstocks, rLG such as bioLPG generate up to 95% less emissions and have the potential to be an important part of the energy transition.
