📢 𝐑𝐄𝐆𝐎𝐌 𝐚𝐭 𝐓𝐢𝐫𝐞 𝐓𝐞𝐜𝐡 𝟐𝟎𝟐𝟓 𝐰𝐢𝐭𝐡 𝐌𝐢𝐜𝐡𝐞𝐥𝐢𝐧   Last week, REGOM and Michelin took the stage at Tire Technology Expo to discuss the future of tire recycling. Bertrand Thoumsin from REGOM, along with Sander VERMEULEN and Christophe Duc from Michelin, delivered a keynote sharing our joint vision for achieving a Circular Economy for tires. Together, we shared our views on how End-of-Life-Tire collection, advanced sorting techniques as well as RFID in tires will contribute to that. By enhancing logistics, collection, and recycling, RFID is a game-changer in achieving the 4Rs of circularity: Reduce, Reuse, Recycle, Renew.   As REGOM, we were able to talk more about how RFID would impact the sorting process at the end of life of tires. We talked more specifically about the following subjects: 🔹𝙏𝙝𝙚 𝙚𝙫𝙤𝙡𝙪𝙩𝙞𝙤𝙣 𝙤𝙛 𝙩𝙞𝙧𝙚 𝙨𝙤𝙧𝙩𝙞𝙣𝙜: We are moving from no sorting/manual sorting to an industrial process with the REGOM machine and tomorrow to a connected industrial process combining the REGOM machine and RFID in order to move towards a circular economy. 🔹𝙒𝙝𝙮 𝙨𝙤𝙧𝙩𝙞𝙣𝙜 𝙢𝙖𝙩𝙩𝙚𝙧𝙨: Sorting is the foundation for value creation in tire recycling. It enables better material recovery and supports circular practices. 🔹𝙏𝙝𝙚 𝙥𝙤𝙬𝙚𝙧 𝙤𝙛 𝙙𝙖𝙩𝙖: We discussed how to move from no data to operational data, and ultimately to global data that informs institutions and governments, fostering better policymaking and sustainability. At the event, we presented the User Story of a Used Tire Collector, demonstrating how its sorting and recycling technologies integrate with GDSO’s new Connector for tire lifecycle tracking.
