🚀 In the race to build useful quantum computers and develop practical algorithms, quantum emulators—simulation software running on classical hardware—are quietly working in the background, pushing the boundaries of what’s possible.   But how far can emulation really go? 30 qubits? 50? In our new paper, "Comparative Benchmarking of Utility-Scale Quantum Emulators," we demonstrate that some emulators can accurately simulate standardized benchmark circuits with over 100 qubits—and in some cases, even beyond 1,000—using only ordinary CPUs!   We benchmarked seven state-of-the-art quantum emulators based on techniques such as tensor networks, matrix product states, decision diagrams, and factorized ket representations, drawn from six actively developed frameworks: Qiskit, #MIMIQ, QMatchaTea, Quimb, MQT-DDS, and Pyqrack. We also introduce a novel ranking approach inspired by the Elo rating system used in chess and other competitive games. Exciting news for quantum technologies in the upper Rhine valley

🚀 Proud Partner of MaQuEst: Advancing Quantum in Grand Est! On Tuesday, during #CESQQuantumWeek, QPerfect had the honor of attending the inauguration of the Maison du quantique Grand Est - MaQuEst at the European Center for Quantum Sciences in Strasbourg. As one of the six Maisons du Quantique supported by France2030, MaQuEst will be a key hub for researchers, startups, and industry to explore quantum computing applications, both standalone and in combination with high-performance computing (HPC). This initiative brings together leading academic and research institutions, including University of Strasbourg, Université de Technologie de Troyes, Université de Reims Champagne-Ardenne, and Inria Universite de Lorraine) alongside key industry players such as DAMAVAN IMAGING, Euro Information Developpements / EID. Innovation actors like Grand Est Développement, l'Agence régionale des transformations (Grand E-Nov+), Grand E-Nov+, and Quest for change are also instrumental in driving this project forward. With €1.2M in state funding, matched by Région Grand Est, MaQuEst will strengthen regional, national, and European competitiveness in quantum technologies.
