🎓Quality Academy: the 1st class has completed its course in front of a jury! At Lactalis, we are driven by our commitment to excellence, and with people at the heart, we aim to make quality more than a standard: for us, it’s a shared responsibility, embedded in everything we do. That’s why, we had the pleasure of welcoming the first session of this Quality Academy started from June 2024, with eight Quality Managers coming from seven Europeans countries. During nine months, this Quality Academy was designed with a clear ambition: - Strengthen technical and operational skills - Equip managers with the right tools to engage teams on the ground - Reinforce a culture where quality is a collective effort Through immersive factory visits, hands-on training, and a strategic project, these managers have completed the first session with a presentation of their Continuous Improvement Project to a panel of judges. 👏 Congratulations to our first class of Quality Ambassadors Antonia Herlea, Nicola Zuliani, Lourdes Torrijos, François Boland, Henrik Jönsson, Teona Mindiashvili, Freek Keur and Ahmed TOUMI for your involvement. 🤔 Did you know?    Packaging is a major source of waste, contributing significantly to pollution and threatening biodiversity. Each year, 500 million tons of plastic waste are produced, with less than 10% recycled, and between 6 and 12 million tons of plastics end up in our oceans. These figures highlight the urgent need for action. At Lactalis, we are taking responsibility through our Packaging Policy striving to reduce our environmental footprint by optimizing packaging, ensuring recyclability, and raising awareness about our collective circularity challenge. 🎯Our commitments: we aim for 100% packaging recyclable by design in 2025, and in practice in 2033. Our key initiatives are being implemented all around the world:  ✅Lactalis Italia launched a recycling stream for Parmalat Italia S.p.A. white PET bottles in 2024. With 50% recycled materials reintegrated into these bottles, we can eliminate 5,000 tons of plastic annually.  ✅In France, Lactalis Nestlé-Ultra Frais participated in the creation of a PS recycling stream for French yogurt cups market, thanks to the collaboration of actors as Syndifrais & Citeo. ✅Our LUSY division has developed a mono-material solution for "YoBaby"pouches, cutting 24 tons of plastic (11% reduction) in 2024. By 2025, this initiative will expand across the entire pouch range for compotes and drinkable yogurts.  Thanks to the collaboration of the various departments involved, we have achieved:  - 31% of recycled material used in our packaging (exceeding our 30% goal). - 84% packaging recyclable by design. 📸🧑🍳 Lactalis at the 30th edition of Gulfood - The World's Biggest Annual F&B Event ! From February 17 to 21, Lactalis showcased its foodservice expertise at #Gulfood2025, bringing together chefs, pastry chefs, bakers, hoteliers, restaurateurs, and caterers for five days of inspiring culinary experiences.   New this year: the Chefs' Bar, an interactive space hosted by three talented chefs – Maxime Michelot, Fadi Selwan, and Jean-Charles Karmann. Created to celebrate Gulfood’s 30th anniversary, this initiative offered a more dynamic and immersive experience, highlighting our dairy solutions in action!   Beyond the live demos and tastings, Gulfood was a fantastic opportunity to connect with foodservice and retail professionals, gain valuable insights, and strengthen our long-term partnerships. Responsables de las plantas de leche de UHT de Lactalis en España y Portugal se han reunido el 11 y 12 de febrero en la planta de Lactalis Puleva en Mollerussa, (Lérida). Durante estos dos días se ha presentado el negocio de la leche en España y Portugal y los resultados en materia de calidad y se han expuesto buenas prácticas del grupo para la leche UHT, con recomendaciones a los participantes. También se revisaron deficiencias observadas en anteriores visitas y se presentaron las auditorías y el plan de acción para cada planta. Para terminar, un ejercicio en pequeños grupos permitió analizar casos reales y desarrollar planes de acción. Agradecemos a Yannick CHUDZIK la acogida en Mollerussa y a los departamentos de calidad e industrial del Sur de Europa por el trabajo realizado en este encuentro. Los hermanos Torres, Javier y Sergio, chefs con tres estrellas Michelín y embajadores de la marca Président Profesional, han ofrecido una demostración culinaria única en el escenario principal de Madrid Fusión 2025. De la mano de Lactalis Foodservice y bajo el título "Cocina salada vs dulce", elaboraron en vivo un plato salado y un postre de su carta, destacando la importancia de ambos en la experiencia gastronómica. Utilizaron ingredientes de alta calidad, entre otros alimentos Mantequilla Président, Nata 18% Président Profesional y Nata Pasteurizada Président Profesional. El showcooking congregó a decenas de profesionales del sector, quienes pudieron aprender y tomar ideas para mejorar sus propias creaciones culinarias.
