Developing future leaders starts with the right combination of support, encouragement, and opportunities to grow. 🌱 That’s why we recently gathered 26 of our leaders in Athens for a transformational in-person Leadership Program experience. 🏛️ This learning experience brought together key talents from across the globe to build connections, strengthen their leadership skills, and explore what it takes to lead with authenticity and impact. This event is part of our award-winning 9-month Imerys Leadership Program (ILP), designed to develop talented employees into leaders and empower them and their career journeys through workshops, coaching, and real-world application. Co-created with Korn Ferry, ILP reflects our commitment to equipping leaders to navigate change, foster innovation, and drive sustainable growth. Congratulations to our 2024 ILP cohort—you’re driving the future of Imerys! 🎉

Imerys’ lithium project EMILI is in the spotlight on French national TV! 📺 The report by Groupe TF1 comes after our EMILI project was recognized by the European Commission as a strategic project under the EU’s Critical Raw Materials Act. The segment explores the critical need for strategic metals—like lithium—and their role in strengthening Europe’s sovereignty. So, why does EMILI matter? 🔋 Lithium—vital for electric vehicle batteries—is key to enabling low-carbon mobility. 🚀 Demand for lithium is expected to increase sevenfold by 2050, making projects like EMILI essential to meeting this growing need. With EMILI, we aim to: ✅ Produce 34,000 tons of lithium hydroxide annually ✅ Equip approximately 700,000 electric vehicles each year Learn more about our EMILI project: https://bit.ly/42pgW9x Discover the report on TF1: https://bit.ly/42qXoS4

Protecting biodiversity starts with avoiding negative impact before it happens. In quarries, that’s a tough challenge—minerals are found where they are, and operations can impact the surrounding environment. As a group, we take this challenge seriously and have created a biodiversity plan to help guide our progress. In France, several of our sites are already putting this plan into action with concrete steps to preserve the natural heritage. Here are two examples: On our talc quarry in Trimouns, France, we have: 🌍 Voluntarily removed 248 hectares from our operating area to protect the ecosystem living on this land. On our Ploemeur site on the coast of Brittany in France, we have: 🌿 Preserved 20.7 hectares of sensitive habitats by excluding them from our work area. 🌸 Protected 95% of the site’s protected flora and fauna, including rare plant species, bats, and amphibians. This first step—avoid impacts on biodiversity before they even occur —is key in our biodiversity plan, and it reflects our commitment to preserve natural heritage wherever possible. Big news for Imerys and for Europe’s energy future: We’re thrilled to share that the European Commission has officially recognized our EMILI lithium project as a strategic project under the EU’s Critical Raw Materials Act. 🤩⚡ Why is this important? 🔋 Lithium (widely used in the manufacture of batteries for electric vehicles) is essential to the development of low-carbon mobility. 🚀 Demand for lithium is expected to increase sevenfold by 2050, and projects like EMILI are key to meeting that growing need. 🏗️ This recognition is a testament to the vital role EMILI will play in ensuring European sovereignty and thus contributing to the success of the energy transition. 🔧 Ever noticed an oil spill when taking your car in for service? Garages, workshops, and industrial sites deal with leaks and spills every day—oil, fuel, coolant, chemicals. If not handled properly, they can cause serious risks to employee health, safety, and the environment, as well as impact business continuity. This is where minerals can make a difference. Natural mineral absorbents like Absodan® , based on calcined moler, are designed to: 🔹 Absorb spills fast – the porous nature of calcined moler soaks up liquids instantly 🔹 Stay non-slippery – Absodan granules stay firm even at full absorption capacity 🔹 Work on almost all spill types – water-based, oils, chemicals, and/or solvents. Want to learn more? Meet us at @europropre from March 25-27 (Booth W65-W67, Hall 1). If you can’t make it, follow this link for more information 👉https://bit.ly/4iXG6BK

🌿 Our First Biodiversity Report is Here! 🌿 At Imerys, we recognize that while minerals are essential to everyday life, their extraction can impact biodiversity. That’s why we are working toward a no net loss of biodiversity target. 📢 Today, we’re releasing our first voluntary Biodiversity Report, sharing our strategy, scientific approach, and concrete actions we’re taking across our sites to preserve natural heritage. From on-site biodiversity audits to ecological mapping and partnerships with scientific experts like PatriNat (OFB-MNHN-CNRS-IRD), we’re working to mitigate our impact and preserve natural habitats. Over the next few weeks, we’ll dive deeper into our initiatives to avoid, minimize, restore and offset the impacts of our operations—starting with the key takeaways from our report. We had some very special little helpers on-site to help us plant 150,000 trees! 🌳✨ Students from Whitemoor Primary Academy joined us at Cornwall last week to help us create a new forest on land that was once a China clay pit!🌲🌲🌲 With over 150,000 trees planted this winter, this initiative is breathing new life into the landscape—supporting biodiversity and future generations. "It's our responsibility to return the land to the condition it would have been in pre-mining,” said Mark Hewson. FCILT, who leads Imerys in the UK. The children also got a wildlife lesson from ecologist Bob Bosisto, who shared insights on rare species like dormice already calling this site home. A huge thank you to our enthusiastic little helpers! 💚 Read more about our restoration effort: https://bit.ly/4bCrANh

🚀Building a rocket is rocket science. But building a launchpad that can withstand launch after launch? That’s a matter of using the right materials. Our scientists have designed a concrete solution with minerals strong enough to resist a rocket launch. Fondag® Aerospace is the fruit of that labor: powerful enough to handle extreme heat, force, and abrasion—keeping launchpads stronger for longer. 🚀 Curious to discover how minerals are shaping the future of space exploration?
