💡Last week, we celebrated American Intellectual Property Law Association (AIPLA)’s Women in IP event in Düsseldorf with an inspiring talk on the topic of making mistakes. In a light-hearted session, we explored how to embrace and learn from our missteps, developing a resilient mindset that turns challenges into opportunities. Special thanks to our speaker, Melanie Amélie Opalka, self-published author, certified burnout coach, and management trainer, for sharing her insights on making mistakes, lifelong learning, and building confidence. After the talk, we continued the good vibes during lunch and networking, and joined the AIPLA global network call, celebrating this empowering event together with law firms around the world 🌍. On 25 March and 8 April, Caroline Levesque, partner at our Lyon/Paris offices and President of the ‘AI & Copyright’ question for the French group of AIPPI, together with Charles-Antoine JOLY as Rapporteur, discussed with the French group of AIPPI the question that will be debated at the AIPPI World Congress in Yokohama, Japan, this September.   ❓ Questions surrounding artificial intelligence (AI) and copyright have emerged as critical topics of global concern. As AI technologies continue to evolve, their ability to generate creative works—such as text, images, music, and videos—has sparked intense debates about intellectual property rights. 💡 In recognition of International Women’s Day, our Düsseldorf office hosted an internal presentation on "Dealing with Digital Violence", led by Kathi from HateAid. Our team gained valuable insights into the different forms and impact of digital violence, as well as strategies for prevention and intervention. The session provided us with important impulses on how to navigate the digital space more safely and responsibly. The presentation was an initiative of our D&I Committee.
