These past few weeks, we visited farmers in Romania, Poland, and France of course. We met new technical partners, set up new agreements, took part in several events (including the Salon de l’Agriculture bien sûr) and dived into new opportunities for low-carbon products to serve our clients and best meet their needs. The thing is. We are not really into communicating. As you may have noticed. But sometimes, we make some exceptions. Here is one: last month (!), we had the chance to visit the COOPERATIVE AGRICOLE DE LA TRICHERIE with our president, Jérôme Calleau. We have been working with La Tricherie for years as this almost-hundred-year-old cooperative is pioneering in promoting and adopting regenerative agriculture practices, working in 𝑓𝑖𝑙𝑖𝑒̀𝑟𝑒𝑠 (agricultural supply chains), and developing circular economy initiatives. As part of InVivo, Grafite has built strong relationships with agricultural cooperatives over the years. We help them transition their farmers to more sustainable agriculture over time and connect them with appropriate markets and clients. Journal de bord On Tuesday 12, André joined the sustainability conference organized by 2BS | Biomass Biofuel Sustainability and discussed the opportunities of using the 2BS scheme in decarbonizing Scope 3 within the framework of SBTi. The same day, Enzo was invited by Dijon Céréales and gave an overview of the oilseed market, including its low-carbon aspects. On Saturday (oui oui), Clément and André engaged with the InVivo board, explaining that carbon insetting is the best solution for cooperatives and farmers to value changes in practices and implement long-term transitions. It was quite a good week for our team. 🏉 Et gagner d’un point, c’est gagner quand même.

Decarbonizing the value chain. Step by step. Brique par brique. From seed to distribution, through green fertilizers, best agronomic practices and sustainable processing. It's probably not the easiest way to produce. But it's certainly the only way to slow down the dramatic degradation of our climate, our environment and our soils. Grafite had a field day! Literally and figuratively. With our president Jérôme Calleau, and our customer PepsiCo, we visited another farm. The farmer, Benoit Collardot, vice-president of the Dijon Céréales agricultural coop, explained how he has gradually modified his practices: introduction of new crops in the rotation, occasional tillage, cover crop, use of sewage sludge and green waste as organic fertilizers. He's also a big fan of the circular economy, and will be working with his cheese-making neighbor to reuse water. It's almost too good to be true. But a large group of us had the opportunity to observe his practices, in the field, and get confirmation that it's possible. Provided you find the right partners to support you.  Thanks to the support of cooperatives, thanks to agro-industrial players who have made strong commitments like Pepsico, and thanks to Grafite by InVivo, which connected the two worlds, low-carbon farmers can continue to advance, to test, and to obtain convincing results.
