London St. Pancras Highspeed has announced a remodelled Growth Incentive Scheme to support railway operators introducing new train services and opening new destinations from London to continental European cities through the Channel Tunnel. This aligns perfectly with Getlink's actions to grow Cross-Channel high-speed railway traffic with a reduced “time to market” for operators willing to develop new services and open new destinations. Getlink's response to the growing demand for more services is through its ETICA (Eurotunnel Incentive for Capacity Additions) programme, the second phase of which, starting this year, includes financial assistance of €50 million for railway operators aiming to launch new passenger destinations through the Channel Tunnel. 📢 International high-speed rail demand is on the rise and we're taking action to meet it. Today we launch a consultation on the new International Growth Incentive Scheme which is designed to support operators in introducing new services, destinations, and trains on the highspeed line between London and Europe. By unlocking unused route capacity, the scheme could enable up to 50% more services, offering passengers greater choice, lower fares and a more sustainable way to travel. This marks an exciting step forward for the future of international rail. 👉 Click here to find out more and what it means for the future of international rail: https://lnkd.in/eCjgHmSc #HighSpeedRail #InternationalRail #SustainableTravel
