👉 By using the super resolution technology developped at Enhance Lab, it is possible to recover an incredible level of details for aerial photography. 👈 Considering this was shot from 300m above the ground, the 12Mpixels jpeg picture you'll get straight out of the drone is not so bad. But there's aliasing, details are missing and colors are washed out. ❓ Wonder how we processed the picture on the right? ------------------------------------------------------------- 🎞️ A burst of 16 RAW pictures was captured (just like a very short movie instead of a single picture). 👋 There's a tiny bit of motion between the frames. 🔍 We align the frames and fuse them all together so we're able to recover the high resolution signal. 🤖 We obviously use neural networks to improve the final image quality. ⛔ No gen AI here ... there is no hallucinated content in our pictures. 🪄 At Enhance Lab, the choice was intentionally made to mix AI with "traditional" image processing algorithms in order to recover faithful details. 🚀 There are many more applications to this technology than drone imaging.
