[CONFERENCE] We were delighted to see Fanny Charrier, Director in the Power & New Energy Coverage Group representing our Bank at the World Hydrogen North America Congress. Fanny moderated the Women+ in Hydrogen networking event, “Opportunities and Challenges for E-fuel Production for Export” alongside Meg Gentle , HIF Global, Liz Myers Infinium and Naomi Boness, Ph.D. Stanford University. During this conversation, several key takeaways emerged for establishing a strong US clean energy market for export, including leveraging and expanding existing infrastructure, optimising the renewable power market, promoting a liquid carbon market, and ensuring fair pricing of carbon abatement. Fanny also joined the panel, “Navigating the Path to Final Investment Decision (FID): Contracts and Strategies” moderated by Marina Domingues, alongside Gordon Dash and Paul Jun. Speakers shared their views on the contractual structure and terms approach that would maximize capital raise. Considering the overall uncertainty around 45V (the US Inflation Reduction Act that provides a tax credit incentive to produce low carbon intensity hydrogen), the panelists also highlighted the flurry of US carbon capture projects that are leading the way on #decarbonisation.

[DEAL] 🇨🇳 Yesterday, China's Ministry of Finance, on behalf of the country's government, launched an inaugural 3- and 5-year CNH 6 billion #greenbond offering. This is the first green bond after the Government released its green bond framework in February 2025. After advising its green bond framework, we are delighted to have supported China’s Ministry of Finance in releasing its first green bond as the green structuring advisor, lead manager and bookrunner on this transaction. 🤝 👉 This transaction is an exemplar of effective allocation of proceeds to support a diverse range of #sustainable development projects, such as climate change mitigation and adaptation, natural resource protection, pollution control, and #biodiversity preservation. [DEAL] We are proud to have acted as joint lead manager on the European Investment Bank (EIB)’s first European #GreenBond, a €3bn 12-year EuGBS-aligned Climate Awareness Bond. 🔍 The European Green Bond Standard Regulation (EuGBS) aims to set a clear and voluntary standard for green bonds, relying on the detailed criteria of the EU taxonomy to define green economic activities. It ensures levels of transparency in line with market best practice, establishes external supervision and raises standardisation. 👉 Since opening the global green bond market in 2007, EIB has always been at the forefront of innovation in the ESG market. As the EU climate bank, it is close to having issued EUR 100bn of Climate Awareness Bonds, and today’s deal marks a new milestone in their sustainable finance journey. 📊 Not only is this transaction the largest European Green Bond and the first AAA issue to date but it also attracted in excess of €40bn in investor orders, pricing at mid-swap + 53 bps. 🍃 Today’s transaction delivers on EIB’s gradual alignment with the taxonomy and the European Green Bond Standard since 2019. This mandate highlights our leadership in the #ESG market.

[CONFERENCE] 🇬🇧 It’s a wrap! We hosted our 18th annual Global High Yield & Leveraged Finance conference in London yesterday to bring together our issuer and investor clients. This year’s strong line-up of corporate and sponsor clients from Europe, the US and Asia, representing a wide cross-section of sectors, was reflected by significant interest from the global investor community. 👉 The conference also featured a series of compelling panels and talks on the macro economy and geopolitical environment, and the dynamics and trends of the leveraged capital markets, expected M&A activity, and the growth of private debt, with leading representatives from the buyside community, private equity, leveraged corporates, rating agencies, credit strategists and economists. This was also a terrific opportunity to exchange and share views at a time when the leveraged credit markets and activity remain robust, but we are faced with greater economic and political challenges. 🤝 We thank our issuer and investor clients for their continued loyalty and support, our partners and colleagues for participating, and our speakers and panellists for their contribution and insights. Read more about the conference: https://bit.ly/4c9bCdQ We look forward to seeing you again next year ! 🙏

[DEAL] The 495 megawatts Fengmiao 1 project by Copenhagen Infrastructure Partners (CIP), which we have extensively supported as a one-stop-shop financier, breaks new grounds in Taiwan’s offshore wind sector. Scheduled for completion by the end of 2027, this is the first of the projects awarded under Round 3.1 of the government’s offshore wind auction to secure funding through US$3.1 billion debt facilities. Aims to providing much-needed renewable energy to large energy users, it is also the first-ever offshore wind project in Taiwan to be supported by multiple corporate offtakers under power purchase agreements concluded with six leading international and local companies. We are delighted to have once again accompanied our long-standing client CIP in driving Taiwan’s offshore wind expansion with its third project locally, after the successful construction of Changfang & Xidao and Zhong Neng. We contributed to the arranging, lending and hedging of this tailor-made financial solution. This new milestone plays a key role in advancing the region’s clean energy transition and reflects our commitment to supporting sustainable infrastructure and the future of renewable energy.
