Crédit Agricole CIB’s Post

[CONFERENCE] We were delighted to see Fanny Charrier, Director in the Power & New Energy Coverage Group representing our Bank at the World Hydrogen North America Congress. Fanny moderated the Women+ in Hydrogen networking event, “Opportunities and Challenges for E-fuel Production for Export” alongside Meg Gentle , HIF Global, Liz Myers Infinium and Naomi Boness, Ph.D. Stanford University. During this conversation, several key takeaways emerged for establishing a strong US clean energy market for export, including leveraging and expanding existing infrastructure, optimising the renewable power market, promoting a liquid carbon market, and ensuring fair pricing of carbon abatement. Fanny also joined the panel, “Navigating the Path to Final Investment Decision (FID): Contracts and Strategies” moderated by Marina Domingues, alongside Gordon Dash and Paul Jun. Speakers shared their views on the contractual structure and terms approach that would maximize capital raise. Considering the overall uncertainty around 45V (the US Inflation Reduction Act that provides a tax credit incentive to produce low carbon intensity hydrogen), the panelists also highlighted the flurry of US carbon capture projects that are leading the way on #decarbonisation.

Brava, Fanny for your leadership in this event alongside leaders from key industry players HIF Global and Infinium. When Dan Yergin and his Harvard colleagues more or less coined the phrase "Energy Future" in 1979 they didn't even dream of our H2 future. Thank you for helping to lead the molecule way today.
