Last week, our team attended the NASA - National Aeronautics and Space Administration Artemis Summit in Washington, DC, to learn more about the exciting journey around the Moon for Artemis II in 2026, as well as other future Artemis space missions that will explore the moon and prepare for missions to Mars. We’re honored that Constellium aluminum made in Ravenswood, WV, including our Airware® aluminum-lithium alloy, is part of the SLS rocket and Orion spacecraft, helping to push the boundaries of what’s possible. Meeting current and former astronauts, including Christina Koch, a trailblazer who will be part of the Artemis II crew, was an unforgettable highlight for our Brian McCallie, MBA, David Sanguin, PMP and michael niedzinski. The team also had the opportunity to meet with West Virginia Representative Carol Miller and the teams of Senators Shelley Moore Capito and Jim Justice, to discuss the importance of Artemis in the state and across the country and to thank them for their ongoing support. This mission is about more than returning to the Moon—it’s about inspiring the next generation and demonstrating what innovation, advanced manufacturing, and collaboration between partners can achieve for humankind. #IdeasMaterialized #YesWV #SpaceExploration
