A good product starts with a great question. Today, the Cognitive Design team stepped back from the screens and dove into a full day of thinking, drawing, questioning and reimagining what our product could become. We’re not just building features, we’re shaping how engineers create. After hours of sticky notes, whiteboard sketches and bold ideas, we laced up for a 5v5 football game. A few bruises, a couple of goals (some lucky ones), and a lot of laughs later, we landed at Beer Social Club to cool off and keep the conversations going, with a beer in hand this time. It’s not always in the meeting room that the best ideas are born. Sometimes, they emerge between a tackle and a toast. Here’s to bold bets, real teamwork, and the long game. A few weeks ago, we hosted a webinar exploring how OEMs can accelerate the design of castable automotive parts through real customer projects. The focus? How to combine Generative Design, Simulation-Driven Design (SDD), and Manufacturing-Driven Design (MDD) to automate the creation of production-ready geometries. Today is a big day for us, as we reveal the outcome of months of hard work with the Marketing team - special kudos to Léo Balland and Birutė Rimdeikaitė! Cognitive Design Systems has turned 4-years old this month, and we believed it was the right timing to make an impact with a new branding that better serves our mission and purpose. The DNA of the company has roots in Asia, especially with Rhushik MATROJA and Henri de Charnacé that thought the company back in their days in Japan. Japanese culture is all over the place at CDS, it impacts the way we approach engineering and how lean we want to make the engineering process for our customers. Thus, reflecting this working philosophy through an appropriate infography inspired by Manga culture, recognizable by anyone around the planet came to our mind as an evidence. The mission of the company is now synthetized in a clear and crisp message, easy to read and to understand: "New AI platform for Generative, Simulation, Manufacturing, Cost and CO²-driven Design Optimization". This reflects the needs of our customers, as well as the major challenges of the industries we aim to empower.
