Being a B Corp is not just a label; it is the recognition of a structured commitment, measured and verified according to demanding standards. With nearly 10,000 certified companies worldwide, this collective movement is taking concrete action for a more inclusive, fairer, and more regenerative economy. 🚀80% of Bonduelle’s activities are now B Corp certified*, and we’re aiming for 100%! 🥕 Our mission? To put more plants on plates. On this International Day Without Meat, we are taking action to promote a more plant-rich diet, better for both people and the planet. ♻️ Global Recycling Day: Let's reduce our footprint! 🌍 At Bonduelle, reducing environmental impact is one of our top priorities. Today, 98% of our packaging is designed to be recyclable or reusable. 📍 Elodie Julliot, R&D packaging specialist for the Bonduelle Group, tells us more. 👉 How is Bonduelle improving the recyclability of its packaging? All our cans and jars are endlessly recyclable! Since 2020, all our business units have been working to simplify our materials to make them recyclable. For example, since 2023, we’ve made our frozen food packaging recyclable in Europe, in a total of 38 countries. Between 2020 and 2024, the Bonduelle Group has increased the proportion of packaging designed to be recyclable or reusable from 89% to 98%. And we'll be close to 100% by 2025! 👉 Just 2% left. Are we almost there? 2% may seem small, but there are significant technical challenges. For some components, no viable solution currently exists. That's why we’ll keep working on it in the long term until we reach 100%. 👉 How do we reduce the impact at the source? We reduce packaging weight, prioritize eco-friendly materials, and eliminate plastic whenever possible. Since 2020, Bonduelle has reduced the use of virgin materials by 21%, including a 44.5% reduction in fossil-based plastics. ✅ Our cans are now lighter and contain 58% recycled metal. ✅ Our new frozen food bags contain 25% less plastic and 50% less ink than before. ✅ We’ve removed lids from our deli containers as well as single-use forks, preventing nearly 650 tons of plastic waste each year! 📢 Vegetable Garden World Cup: join now! Growing food is just as essential as learning to read and write! The Vegetable Garden World Cup is back for its second edition, bringing together thousands of children in a unique challenge: growing their own vegetables and herbs at school while exploring the importance of healthy, sustainable eating. 🥕 A Hands-On Learning Experience Last year, with the support of the Louis Bonduelle Foundation, nearly 4,000 children from 200 schools across 26 countries took part in this adventure, led by our partner Landestini. Their mission? Plant, water, observe, and understand how nature sustains us. 🏆 More than just a competition, a human and environmental journey Beyond the contest, this initiative raises awareness about climate change, biodiversity, and resource conservation. Each school receives tailored support, engaging challenges, training sessions, and expert guidance. Plus, thematic prizes (biodiversity, plant-based cooking, teamwork, and more) reward participants throughout the year.
