Among key milestones achieved since the opening of our offices in Rio de Janeiro: ➡️ We have strengthened our position as privileged providers of products and services, helping our customers tackle their challenges ➡️ We have launched several innovative projects, including the development of new technologies and solutions to assist our clients in their energy transition ➡️ Our team has doubled in size, and we are still actively looking for new colleagues! ⏩ Besides, we are delighted to share the signing with Petrobras and IFP Energies nouvelles of a Mutual Recognition Agreement 🇧🇷 This week was also an opportunity for our CEO Quentin DEBUISSCHERT and our Vice-President Commercial BD Jean-Luc Nocca to meet with the presidents and top executives of our main local partners, confirming Axens' long-term commitment to Brazil and Latin America. Counting with the support and presence during these events of the French Ambassador Emmanuel Lenain, IFPEN President Pierre-Franck CHEVET, Sao Paulo Consul Alexandra Mias and Rio de Janeiro Deputy Consul General Sophie Lafitte, as well customers. As industrial players are facing increasing pressure to adapt their technologies and processes to comply with new environmental regulations, Axens has in response developed a transformative technology, #Futurol, that monetizes a wide range of #biomass residues. Axens’ Futurol technology, developed with the expertise of Procéthol 2G and its partners, enables the conversion of biomass into biogenic products. This integrated bio-hub can enable to reduce GHG emissions by up to 90% and potentially become carbon-negative when using biogenic CO2 for storage or further conversion. [#AskAxens] How can the FCC unit be upgraded to benefit petrochemical integration? The FCC unit can be upgraded to benefit petrochemical integration through strategies ranging from some that can be easily applied to the existing FCC units, to modifications involving the implementation of new satellite units. An example of easy and quick implementation could be increasing severity and/or using specific catalysts formulations and additives (like ZSM-5 zeolite) with high selectivity to olefin. Besides, there is the possibility to evaluate modifications to the unit to maximize the olefins production through several Axens technologies.
