– 🇬🇧 (Texte en français au-dessus) Digital accessibility does not impact the sustainability of your digital services 🌳🟣🌍 Digital accessibility and sustainability are two of the main topics to consider in your responsible digital strategy and CSR reports. We sometimes receive questions about the impact of digital accessibility on the weight of digital services and whether there is a risk of negatively affecting the sustainability by making a service accessible. Rest assured, digital accessibility does not have a negative impact when it comes to compliance with the guidelines (WCAG, RGAA…). Regarding best practices in writing and coding discipline, digital accessibility is entirely compatible with good eco-sustainable practices. #A11y #Accessibility #WebAccessibility #AccessibilitéNumérique

Digital accessibility isn’t only about compliance or social responsibility. 👇 87 million. That’s the number of people with disabilities in the EU alone. $13 trillion. The global spending power of this often-overlooked market. 33%. The percentage of seniors who abandon websites that aren’t accessible. 🚨 And yet, 90% of digital content remains inaccessible. But what if technology and AI could truly break barriers and make the digital world (really) accessible to all? This is the mission of Accessi+, a startup co-founded by Adina Teleuca, and powered by Incubateur HEC Paris. 🚀 The startup developed a SaaS-based solution helping organizations enhance user experience, ensure compliance, and embrace inclusivity - all while tapping into a growing market. 🇪🇺 With the European Accessibility Act taking effect in June 2025, businesses must act now to meet the needs of millions of users and stay compliant. Because companies that ignore accessibility aren’t just risking fines. They’re leaving a great opportunity on the table. 👉 Discover Adina’s entrepreneurial story and how Accessi+ is leading the change in accessibility: link in comments. – 🇬🇧 (Texte en français au-dessus) Artificial intelligence has the power to make the internet more inclusive. But we need to make sure that when we build new products, we consider everyone. Including people with disabilities. The new models can be used to identify problems in websites and apps, but also to overcome them and assist the user in the digital space. Many improvements are happening with the help of technology, brought to market not just by big players like Google and Microsoft, but also by many startups and academia working towards a future that ensures equal chances and similar experiences for everyone. #A11y #Accessibility #WebAccessibility #AccessibilitéNumérique

Ever watched a video online without sound? Maybe you're scrolling at work (I won't judge 😉), commuting, or just trying not to wake someone up. Most likely, by now you’ve already realized why captions are useful. And they're also a perfect example of digital accessibility in action. Did you know videos with captions perform significantly better on social media? According to data from Verizon Media and Publicis Media, 69% of consumers watch videos with sound off in public places and 80% say they're more likely to watch a video entirely if captions are available. Not having captions means potentially losing engagement, reach and even revenue. Accessibility solutions, like captions, are not just for users with disabilities. They're for everyone! Yes, they help those who are deaf or hard of hearing (about 466 million people worldwide according to WHO), but they're also incredibly valuable for people in noisy environments, those learning a new language, or anyone multitasking. Accessibility often starts as a specific solution for a certain group of users but quickly becomes universally helpful. And this is also what we aim for with digital accessibility at Accessi+: making digital solutions accessible, inclusive and useful for everyone. 💜

Assurez-vous que votre app mobile est accessible, auditez-la ✅ – 🇬🇧 (Texte en français au-dessus) Just like websites, mobile applications have to be accessible to all users 📱 Accessibility guidelines also apply to the design of apps and their compatibility with assistive technologies such as screen readers is essential to provide the same level of service to all the users.

– 🇬🇧 (Texte en français au-dessus) All digital services in the European banking industry must be 100% accessible by the end of June! This June 28th, many digital services and products will need to be accessible to all users, and more particularly banking services. This means that websites, apps, ATMs, as well as bank statements, contracts, and emails must be designed and shared in formats compatible with each user’s assistive devices. In France, all big companies are already held to hese requirements. But starting in June, accessibility requirements will be expanded and will apply across the entire European Union. #A11y #Accessibility #WebAccessibility #AccessibilitéNumérique

Last year, I visited the United Nations headquarters for the first time, and this year, I returned to pitch Accessi+. And it was an amazing experience because: ✅ I participated in Zero Conference, one of the largest conference dedicated to disability inclusion solutions, organized by Zero Project in Vienna. ✅ My participation was part of an international program by ViennaBusiness, where I met entrepreneurs from different corners of the world. ✅ I reconnected with amazing people, including former colleagues from Kaufland Romania & Moldova (Estera Anghelescu, M.B.A., Stefan Catalin Sfeatcu, and Delia Elena Moise), with whom I developed the ACCES program. Being at the United Nations headquarters felt even more meaningful this year because I truly believe that without unity, there is no security. Nations across the world, so diverse in their culture, heritage and language, need to communicate, understand, and support each other, rather than turning their backs or weapons against one another. It may sound idealistic, but humanity will not thrive through conflict and division, it will only prosper through unity and understanding. And businesses play a significant role in shaping the societies we live in.
