Our very own software developer Kaisa Heinonen will present her personal project rantuniitty.fi this Friday at Fintraffic’s transport data ecosystem event. What started as a curiosity about 3D transport models turned into a working prototype of a digital twin for public transport. Rantuniitty.fi displays local traffic buses in Joensuu, Oulu, and Jyväskylä, as well as HSL area buses, trams, metros, and ferries, plus passenger trains operating on Finnish railways - as 3D models on the map, in real time. Yesterday, we gathered experts from across industries for a roundtable on AI-powered development hosted by our AI Business Design Director, Caroline Chang Liu. And what an energising session it was! Here are a few highlights from the discussion: → AI-powered development isn’t a question of "if", but "when". Most of us agreed: it’ll be the norm in just 3–5 years. → True transformation doesn’t start with leadership alone—it starts when senior experts lead by doing, exploring, and advocating new ways of working. → And perhaps most importantly: you can’t bolt AI onto old processes. Embracing AI means rethinking your tools, your workflows, and your mindset. It’s a whole-company shift.
