Last week, ReOrbit joined the Team Finland delegation at LAAD Defence & Security 2025, Latin America's most important trade fair for defence and security. Alongside other leading Finnish organisations such as Kewatec Shipyards, Kuva Space, Modirum | Gespi, Savox Communications Ltd, Tampere University and Vaisala, our team representatives participated in high-level discussions, networking, and knowledge exchange — both at the exhibition and in bilateral meetings with Brazilian defence institutions and industry stakeholders. Together, we showcased cutting-edge Finnish innovation and moved towards strengthening our ties with Brazil and the wider Latin American region. Today, ReOrbit had the honour of hosting a visit from Työ- ja elinkeinoministeriö – Ministry of Economic Affairs and Employment (Finland) at our Helsinki headquarters. We were pleased to welcome Jonna Lehtinen, Head of Development, Juhapekka Ristola, Director General of the Innovation and Enterprise Financing Department, Oskari Räikkönen, Director of Administrative Team and Tero Vihavainen, Chief Specialist, Space Policy. Our discussions focused on the increasing significance of space in defence, security and emergency response and how the Finnish Space Administration can support ReOrbit’s continuous growth. SATELLITE 2025 reached for the stars with ReOrbit onboard 🚀 What a week we had in Washington D.C. at the SATELLITE Conference & Exhibition 2025! ReOrbit's team had the incredible opportunity to exhibit and spread the word about our satellite technology including our flagship product SiltaSat. The event provided a fantastic platform for us to engage in valuable discussions, explore new opportunities, and strengthen our relationships with key industry players. A special shoutout to SES Satellites' CEO Adel Al-Saleh, who personally visited our booth for a guided tour of the exhibit hall. Our very own Sethu Saveda Suvanam had the privilege of joining an insightful panel discussion alongside Amazon Web Services (AWS), Calian Advanced Technologies, and SES Satellites, during the conference program. His expertise and vision sparked meaningful conversations on sovereignty in decision-making when it comes to GEO space networks. It was truly an honour to co-organise the Space Collaboration Industry Seminar for NATO’s Defence of the High North and Arctic Region alongside ICEYE, in collaboration with leading Nordic space companies. The event, supported by the Finnish Ministry of Defence, brought together high level decision-makers and experts from the Nordic and NATO space industries, government, and defence sectors. The seminar explored critical topics, including the role of space in defending NATO’s Northern Flank and the Arctic, Nordic industrial cooperation for space capabilities, and the intersection of military and civilian resilience needs in the region. A heartfelt thank you to all the experts and leaders who joined us. Space domain is a force multiplier for our joint defence and deterrence.
