The optimization of the quality control of #FRC by reducing costs, time and material consumption is necessary for the widespread use of fibres as partial or total substitution of traditional rebar reinforcement in concrete structures. C3S is in the constant improving process of the Inductive Test, the first non-destructive test that allows to determine the content and orientation of metallic fibers in a accurate, fast, straightforward and sustainable way. The SmartFibreC equipment is a development of the C3S research group and is commercialized by Smart Engineering and Bekaert. C3S research group is set at the Civil and Environmental Engineering Department of the UPC (Polytechnic University of Catalonia). Over the last years C3S has been increasingly growing, forming up a group of skillful and talented people led by Professor Albert de la Fuente Antequera. The research lines of the group are based on the use and development of new construction materials, deeply focused on the sustainability and the circular resource use and never forgetting to take into account social aspects. From 9th to 15th September the World Green Building Council is celebrating World Green Building Week #WGBW24. This year, WorldGBC is inviting us to take steps towards a better future with the #BuildingTheTransition campaign, through three key principles: Reduce. Decarbonize.
