The Elisa project by "Conti, Cert" springs from a desire to enhance an existing space through simplicity and functionality. Off-white walls, moldings, and warm materials create the perfect setting for Santa & Cole’s Neoseries. Luia Corsini’s geometric compositions, Klas Ernflo’s vibrant, richly colored pieces, Bea Sarrias’ soothing sketches, and the artwork “Bodegón con frutas” by Willem van Aelst, from our collaboration with the Museo Thyssen-Bornemisza, enhance each room of this private residence. After discovering an opaline globe discarded near a glass factory, Miguel Milá began exploring its shape and the endless possibilities it offered as a functional object. This fascination with the found object and its ability to house light sparked the initial idea for the Cesta lamp family. Iconic pieces such as the Cesta, the Cestita, the Metal Cesta, and the Wally wall lamp showcase Milá's appreciation for the simplicity of forms. Each piece embraces the globe, employing different structures that provide unique functionalities. Photography by Enric Badrinas

A Globe of Light – Cesta and Cestita Metálica Miguel Milá learned to master the expressiveness of steel by giving it a fragile heart. Cesta and Cestita Metálica encapsulate the duality between strength and fragility as the firm metal brackets embrace the delicate opal globe. Its steady, heavier base makes it the perfect version for placing it stably in any corner of the house. Cesta Metálica has also the option of adding a leather strap, whose softness contrasts with the rigidity of the steel straps. Introducing two new finishes for the Cestita Alubat: English Green and Reddish Orange, joining the classic Black edition. With these new interpretations of Miguel Milá’s iconic design, we celebrate the timelessness the author demonstrated throughout his career. Santa & Cole presents a definitive edition of Bib Luz alongside Oscar Tusquets. It now offers significant functional and electrical improvements and maintains the poetic aura from which the lamp was conceived. The book structure has an off-white and aluminium metal finish to choose from. Its metallic arm, which includes an adjustable LED light, attaches to the book with a click. The incorporation of a well-sized LED source improves the optics and the light. Additionally, multiple units can be interconnected in series with a single wall plug, allowing compositions at different levels. Always with excellent results, non-dazzling for those observing the bookshelf. 📕💡

“If I place a lamp on a shelf, all the shelves below it are in shadow. Only by moving the light source forward will I be able to illuminate the spines of the books. What I then have is a body with a shaft and a bulb at its tip. The body, which houses the transformer and the switch, needs to be placeable in any part of the shelf, occupying minimum space and going unnoticed. What better form could I imagine than that of a book?” – Oscar Tusquets. Learn more at santacole.com/es/bib-luz/ Photography by Coke Bartrina
