📄👆🏽LuxQuanta's 𝐂𝐕-𝐐𝐊𝐃 𝐜𝐨𝐞𝐱𝐢𝐬𝐭𝐬 𝐰𝐢𝐭𝐡 𝐟𝐮𝐥𝐥-𝐜𝐚𝐩𝐚𝐜𝐢𝐭𝐲 𝐂-𝐛𝐚𝐧𝐝 𝐃𝐖𝐃𝐌 data traffic, without displacing channels to other bands! A research paper in collaboration with Telefónica and Centre Tecnològic de Telecomunicacions de Catalunya (CTTC). We've proven that quantum and classical signals can share the same optical fiber and spectrum using standard FOADM-based infrastructure. 💡 ⚙️The setup in the paper combined a commercial CV-QKD from LuxQuanta with 39×100𝐆/400𝐆 𝐃𝐖𝐃𝐌 𝐜𝐡𝐚𝐧𝐧𝐞𝐥𝐬 𝐨𝐯𝐞𝐫 𝐚 20 𝐤𝐦 𝐚𝐦𝐩𝐥𝐢𝐟𝐢𝐞𝐝 𝐦𝐞𝐭𝐫𝐨 𝐥𝐢𝐧𝐤, using off-the-shelf transceivers across multiple vendors. With just two notch filters, the quantum channel was successfully isolated. In other words, there is 𝐧𝐨 𝐧𝐞𝐞𝐝 𝐭𝐨 𝐦𝐨𝐯𝐞 𝐭𝐫𝐚𝐟𝐟𝐢𝐜 𝐨𝐮𝐭 𝐨𝐟 𝐭𝐡𝐞 𝐂-𝐛𝐚𝐧𝐝, nor for dedicated optical fiber. ✅ 𝐍𝐨 𝐬𝐞𝐩𝐚𝐫𝐚𝐭𝐞 𝐟𝐢𝐛𝐞𝐫 𝐫𝐞𝐪𝐮𝐢𝐫𝐞𝐝 → Drastically reduces deployment costs ✅ 𝐍𝐨 𝐬𝐩𝐞𝐜𝐭𝐫𝐮𝐦 𝐭𝐫𝐚𝐝𝐞-𝐨𝐟𝐟 → Full C-band capacity remains available for data traffic. ✅ 𝐃𝐞𝐩𝐥𝐨𝐲𝐚𝐛𝐥𝐞 𝐭𝐨𝐝𝐚𝐲 → Proven compatibility with existing DWDM metro networks.
