A new study on the occurrence of residues from plant protection products in Spanish wines has been completed, in collaboration with the University of La Rioja and Galician Agency for Food Quality (AGACAL), within the PhD Thesis of V. Fernández. The survey presents data for wines from with different D.O., or sub-zones, in geographic regions with different climate conditions, corresponding to four consecutive vintages. Furthermore, the study investigates the impact of regulatory policies on the detection frequencies of pesticides which are candidates for substitution. A risk assessment of exposure to most often detected compounds through moderate, regular wine consumption is also presented in the study. https://lnkd.in/d_PGJN9g
