An unforgettable day in Estonia! 🇪🇪🇬🇧 Yesterday, we had the incredible honor of welcoming Prince William in Estonia, where he met with pioneering Estonian Cleantech Association companies – SKYCORP Technologies, Sunly, UP Catalyst, and Roofit.Solar. Our CEO, Marek Alliksoo, had the privilege of introducing SKYCORP Technologies to the Prince of Wales, discussing how the high gravimetric energy density of hydrogen extends our hydrogen drone flight endurance from minutes to hours. This unlocks groundbreaking capabilities for first responders, critical infrastructure inspection, and – drawing from the Prince’s own experience – search and rescue operations. A key theme throughout the discussions and panel talks was the role of renewable energy, innovation, energy security, and the importance of dual-use technology in building greater resilience. 🌍👑 Prince William to Visit Sunly’s Office & Meet Estonian Cleantech Companies! 👑🌍 This week, Prince William is visiting Estonia, and on March 20, he will meet with selected members of the Estonian Cleantech Association to learn about Estonia’s cleantech and renewable energy innovation. The meeting will take place at Sunly’s HQ, where leading local clean technology success stories will be showcased. 🔋 In addition to Sunly, the meeting will feature UP Catalyst, SKYCORP Technologies, and Roofit.Solar. Wow, what a week - veni, vidi, vici! SKYCORP Technologies is honoured and proud to have been selected as winners by the prestigious jury of the #DECOI challenge in Finland. What an honour coming for the first time from Tartu, Estonia to pitch in Finland at Slush side-events as a multi-use company.  And as amongst the reasons for being selected - hydrogen and increased sustainability were some of them, as highlighted by General Commander of the Finnish Defence Forces (ret) Timo Kivinen and distinct jury members Jan-Erik Saarinen, Tiina Laisi-Puheloinen and Pekka Samuelsson Furthermore, our lead investor BSV Ventures announced with NATO Innovation Fund (NIF) investment of $15M into the fund. SKYCORP Technologies CEO, Marek Alliksoo, took part in the EUROCONTROL and European Defence Agency led panel at the European U-space stakeholder network event held in Vilnius on the 5th of September sharing insights from the industry regarding the demand for U-space airspace. 1.5h goes fast when you're sharing the stage with an expert panel comprised of: Aleksandras Nemunaitis, National aviation association LAVIA / Vilnius City Municipality, Lithuania Maj. Marius Chvainickas, Armed Forces Lithuania Thorsten Indra, HHLA Sky GmbH, Germany Huge thanks to Munish Khurana from EUROCONTROL and Christophe Vivier from European Defence Agency for hosting the discussions on key drivers, opportunities and challenges for growth in demand for drone operations and the way U-space serves as an enabler when going from simple VLOS missions to more complex BVLOS, multi-actor, cross-domain scalable operations striving for more automation and autonomy, by "EU Trusted Drones". SESAR Joint Undertaking plays a critical role in driving this momentum.
