From the largest humanitarian warehouse in the world, we deliver life-saving supplies #ForEveryChild

Om os

UNICEF sources, procures and delivers over $7.383 billion annually in supplies and services that are critical in fulfilling children’s rights. The UNICEF supply and logistics headquarters in Copenhagen ensures that affordable life-saving supplies are available in the right quantity and of the right quality, wherever children are in need. As well as supporting UNICEF’s ongoing programmatic activities, the Supply function provides rapid supply response to emergencies. Strategies to achieve results for children focus on influencing global markets for supplies, product innovation and supply chain strengthening. Cross-cutting strategies in monitoring, evaluation, partnerships with health and development organizations, governments and the private sector, and establishing learning opportunities for staff are also critical areas that enable Supply Division’s work.

Last week, UNICEF Supply hosted the Nutrition Suppliers Forum in Copenhagen with 270 participants from 50 countries to discuss progress, new initiatives and how we can work with governments, UN agencies, donors and industry so that more children receive the nutrition they need. The recent #N4GParis summit gave us hope with new commitments to strengthening food systems and improving children's access to vital life-saving treatment and essential supplements.    We are focussed on making nutrition programmes work better, leveraging industry innovation to bring quality and affordable products to market. By working together, we can turn commitments into action, making sure children have access to the nutrition they need to thrive.

  • Only 10% of children who need assistive technology (AT) in low- and middle-income countries have access to it. At #GDS2025, UNICEF committed to helping governments provide AT access to at least 5M children. Here's how👇 🛒 Expanding the UNICEF Supply Catalogue from 24 to over 180 AT products, including wheelchairs, hearing aids, and four new product ranges: spectacles and diagnostics for vision care, braille typewriters and other digital AT tools, visual communications aids to support inclusive education, and absorbent pads and undergarments for managing incontinence. 📉 Driving down prices for quality-assured AT products through effective negotiation and leading global tenders. 🦽 Building demand by working with communities and governments, ensuring more children and families know about the life-changing assistive products available to them. With appropriate AT, children can live healthy, productive, independent, and dignified lives. #ForEveryChild, assistive technology

This earthquake is another brutal blow to children in Myanmar, many of whom are already living through conflict, displacement and deprivation. According to official figures, more than 1,600 people have been killed and over 3,400 injured—many of them children. Homes, schools, hospitals, and critical infrastructure have sustained severe damage. Landslides and collapsed roads have left many communities without electricity and mobile connectivity. Many families already surviving in fragile conditions now face even greater hardship, with limited access to safe water, healthcare and shelter. As part of its initial response, UNICEF is mobilizing 80 metric tons of life-saving supplies, including health kits, medical supplies, tents, and hygiene kits such as soap, sanitary pads, and disinfectants, for immediate delivery to children and families in desperate need. “Children in Myanmar are enduring a crisis on top of a crisis. UNICEF is scaling up our life-saving work, and the international community is responding, but more resources are urgently needed to save and protect the lives of children and their families. At the same time, we need safe, rapid and unhindered humanitarian access to affected areas so we can assist those in desperate need.” - UNICEF Executive Director Catherine Russell. The devastation caused by the earthquake in Myanmar is widespread. Critical infrastructure including power lines, commercial properties, and community facilities lie in ruins. UNICEF is working with partners to assess and respond to the needs of affected children and families. Children face increased vulnerability in the aftermath of disasters. And children in Myanmar are already vulnerable to the ongoing violence and humanitarian crisis. UNICEF is on the ground but we can’t do it alone. UNICEF is deeply concerned about the devastating impact of today’s earthquake in Myanmar on children and families. Initial reports show severe damage to buildings and roads in urban centers which are home to hundreds of thousands of children. Damage has also been reported in Bangkok and other parts of Thailand. Our teams are on the ground in affected areas, assessing the impact and preparing to support the humanitarian response. © UNICEF Myanmar
