Seaborg Technologies changes name to Saltfoss Energy and appoints new board member. Seaborg Technologies has changed its name to Saltfoss Energy, effective today. The new name reflects the company’s inherently safe molten salt technology, which is based on flowing salt to create energy at a massive scale. In Old Norse, the word “foss” is used to describe a powerful waterfall. Furthermore, as part of the effort to establish a board that matches the next phase of the company’s journey, Jacob Bundsgaard is to be appointed as a new board member. Jacob Bundsgaard is the former mayor of Aarhus, the second-largest city in Denmark. Jacob’s extensive experience in strategy and organisational development as well as in public regulation will be of particular benefit to the company. “We are very happy to welcome Jacob to the board. He will be a strong addition to the team, complementing the board members we have added over the last year,” says Niels de ConinckSmith, Chairman of Saltfoss Energy. Klaus Nyengaard, CEO of Saltfoss Energy, adds “With money in the bank, a strengthened organisation and a new board, we are excited to move to the next phase of our development”. -- About Saltfoss Energy -- The molten salt technology designed by Saltfoss Energy is the world’s most scalable and inherently safe energy solution. The nuclear reactor cannot explode or melt down. The Saltfoss design utilises low-enriched uranium (LEU) and does not rely on breakthrough materials innovation. Together with Samsung Heavy Industries and Korea Hydro & Nuclear Power, Saltfoss Energy has established a strong consortium to enable manufacturing of factory-produced floating nuclear power plants. The scalability is secured through centralised manufacturing at the shipyard of Samsung Heavy Industries and the first plant will be operated by Korea Hydro & Nuclear Power in the early 2030s.

Saltfoss Energy genopslog dette
Seaborg Technologies today announces a capital raise of approximately DKK 200M, and a new Chairman, Niels de Coninck-Smith. The "Nuclear Renaissance" is gaining momentum, and we are well positioned to benefit from this. Our technology design and organisation is now sufficiently mature to engage with the Korean Regulater, NSSC, concerning the licensing process for our First of a Kind reactor. This is a big step for any developer of a new, nuclear technology - big applause to the Seaborg employees and partners. We are some of years away from starting to build the first power unit, and even longer from operating. The mass production of our Power Barge concept together with our consortium partners, Heavy Industries Samsung and Korea Hydro & Nuclear Power (KHNP), is further out, but to fulfil a grand vision, that can truly change the World, you need to cherish each of the many steps that moves you forward. I am more convinced than ever, that our technology offers something unique and valuable to the World. Energy is a key component of any, advanced and prosperous society, and we need a lot more, safe, clean, stable and green energy. Our technology offers exactly this because of the combination of the safe and "simple" Molten Salt technology as well as the scalable shipyard based manufacturing. The work can continue! Thanks for your support at the event in Houston, Morten Bødskov, Minister for Industry, Business and Financial Affairs, where our CBO, Rasmus Bjerngaard, presented. Thanks to Thomas Tougaard, and the rest of the Danish Trade Council team for some fruitful days.
Flere danske investeringer i USA!
