Om os
We make sustainability profitable. At Polytech, we bring sustainable solutions to life that improve the durability and performance of wind turbines. Our solutions protect turbine blades from lightning and erosion, they monitor and optimize turbine performance, and protect and monitor turbine equipment during transport, storage, and in subsea environments. Founded in 1994, we are now front-runners in wind power innovation and a trusted partner to major players in the wind industry, with locations in Denmark, China, Germany, and Mexico. Ultimately, our ambition is to help the world become powered primarily by renewables. But good intentions will only get us so far. If we are to achieve our goal, we need to make sure that what’s good for the environment is good for your business. That’s why we obsess over how to reduce the levelized cost of wind energy. It’s also why we submit our products to rigorous testing, and why we pioneer the use of IIoT. Because together, through innovation rooted in sustainability, we can change the way we power our planet. Wind for life.

Always happy to support our trusted customers like Nordex Group and as Andreas Elmholdt Christensen, Manager of Polytech’s test center explains in the press release: “It is crucial to test for lightning as close to real-life conditions as possible. We are pleased to service Nordex Group and a long list of customers from in and outside the wind industry with our accredited facilities, so we can make well-documented test results for certification or keeping momentum in their R&D projects.”
Press release: Nordex Group successfully tests N175/6.X rotor blade. Over the past eleven months, the Nordex Group has subjected a rotor blade of the N175/6.X to these necessary mechanical tests on the accredited rotor blade test rig at the Fraunhofer Institute for Wind Energy Systems IWES in Bremerhaven. In addition, a 15-meter-long rotor blade tip of the N175/6.X with integrated anti-icing system was subjected to extensive lightning tests in accordance with IEC 61400-24. In Polytech's accredited lightning laboratory in Denmark, high-voltage impact tests and high-current tests were successfully completed.
