Research shows that in elementary school, girls and boys are equally interested in STEM subjects. But girls tend to lose interest during middle school, partly due to a lack of social leisure activities that keep the interest alive. This is why we have developed the first non-profit, learning-based universe in the popular online game Roblox. The goal is to whet girls’ appetite for science and technology so that more will choose to follow that path later in life. You can find the game here: https://lnkd.in/drejGDRb

IT is more than just coding – it’s a world of possibilities! 💡 At IT Camp 2025, young women explored what it’s like to study and work in IT - and how technology is shaping the world around us. Over two exciting days in Aalborg and Copenhagen, they got hands-on with the creative and problem-solving side of tech through workshops, networking, and inspiring talks from trailblazing women in tech. They also got to connect with amazing female role models like our Senior Consultant, Mai-Thi Do, who went from having no coding experience to becoming a software engineer. And her message? IT is for anyone with curiosity and a drive to learn! 🚀 We hope the camp sparked curiosity and opened doors to the many possibilities tech has to offer. 👉 Learn more about IT Camp (hosted by Aalborg University) and how we’re bringing more diverse perspectives into tech: netcmpy.com/25itcamp

Europe aims to become the world’s first climate-neutral continent. Climate policies, however, face free-rider problems if not enforced collectively. The Carbon Border Adjustment Mechanism solves this problem by pricing carbon emissions embedded in imported goods. To implement the new regulations, we’ve led a consortium developing a dedicated software platform for all stakeholders—including importers, EU officials, National Competent Authorities, and operators from non-EU countries. Total Airport Management (TAM) has long been an ambitious vision for the airport industry, promising seamless, integrated airport operations driven by data and collaboration. However, its real-world adoption has been hindered by a lack of clear business value use cases and the complexity of implementing TAM within fragmented legacy systems. Here Martin Bowman, Chief Strategy Officer at Smarter Airports, explores five potential Total Airport Management use cases—ranging from optimising security and retail trade-offs to improving passenger connections, managing immigration queues, and mitigating flight delay risks.

"I think everyone understands that right now we are in a time where technology really sweeps all continents and changes the way the world works. We in Europe - by embracing AI - but also all technological innovation, need to step up."
The future of banking services is something that people have been trying to define for many years, but nothing has really changed over the last 20 years. I think that many of the complexities and issues of modern banking services can be overcome by using technological innovation and artificial intelligence, and we need to start creating those solutions.

Growing up in a multicultural family with a father who has tinnitus and severe hearing loss, Jerfi van Diem learned early on how small practical challenges can become complex barriers. Now, as a Senior Interface Consultant, she’s using that perspective to design digital solutions that empower rather than exclude. For Jerfi, UX design is about more than usability—it’s about making technology truly accessible, ensuring everyone can navigate digital spaces with ease. This is her story: netcmpy.com/jerfi
