AV+ (Automatic Ventilation) provides automatic ventilation based on the respiration of the produce to ensure safe cargo transportation. AV+ is the correct way to accurately control fresh-air ventilation in reefers. By using a CO2 sensor, the technology that powers AV+ monitors the natural respiration of produce inside the reefer. ❄️ Based on preselected settings, the AV+ module automatically opens and closes to reach and maintain safe CO2 or O2 levels. This minimises the risks of over-ventilation with warm ambient air and ensures that produce enjoys optimum care during transportation, which can delay ripening. 🍌🥑 #StarCool #engineering #coldchain #efficiency

Sharing a post from Greece, where service managers Bjørn Grigoleit and Gerard Grinwis. recently conducted a Star Cool training. We were happy to see a nice turnout of technicians from Agiourantis, Hartas, and Paschalidis at the training event. ♻️❄️ f you are also interested in scheduling a Star Cool training, please contact us at training@starcool.com. We are happy to arrange a training to suit your company’s needs.
Last week we, Bjørn Grigoleit and me, had the pleasure to visit Greece for audits and #StarCool training. Got a good number of technicians from Agiourantis, Hartas and Paschalidis attending the training event. Many thanks for the great support and also our transportation during those days, really appreciated. A special thanks to mister C. Paschalidis for hosting the traning.

At Intermodal Asia, service manager Michael Xu had the opportunity to connect with Mr. Lee, the technical manager from Dalian Huayiwuzhou Container, a leading second-hand container trader in China. 🤝🌏 Two years ago, Huayiwuzhou began purchasing old Star Cool reefers. Since then, Huayiwuzhou has found success in offering these reefers to domestic customers for cold storage. ❄️📦 End users often note the significantly lower energy consumption compared to other reefer models, as well as our service and spare parts network.

🌟 Accelerating Action for Inclusion 🌟 What happens when two of Sønderjylland’s largest engineering companies — Maersk Container Industry and Danfoss — come together with SheLeadsTech - Denmark represented by Stine Juhl-Hansen. We create a space for inspiration, bold conversations, and a shared commitment to Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion (DEI). At our International Women's Day event, we heard powerful insights from Nicoleta Mehlsen (Danfoss) and Mette Alexandra Coughlin (MCI) — reminding us that driving progress starts with speaking up, supporting one another, and staying curious. While both MCI and Danfoss have made strong progress toward building more inclusive workplaces, the journey isn’t over yet — there’s always more to learn, more to change, and more to celebrate. ✨ What’s a moment you’ve witnessed at your workplace where inclusivity truly made a difference? Share your thoughts in the comments — let’s keep the conversation going! Check out the event highlights below ⬇️ #AccelerateAction #IWD2025 #DEI #WomenInEngineering #SheLeadsTech

Reefer energy consumption is under the spotlight as the industry works to lower supply chain emissions. 🌱⚡ In this WorldCargo News article, Anders Holm, Director, Global Sales & Service at MCI examines the complexities of establishing a standard efficiency test and how remote monitoring solutions as Sekstant can help identify real-world power savings: “We would definitely participate in such a test to prove the efficiency of Star Cool 1.1, and the focus around it is clearly beneficial, but there is an industry challenge present that all operators do not operate under the same conditions in terms of cargo, service network [and] the environment surrounding the reefer. I believe this type of dilemma has also been observed in other industries.” Click below to read the full article. 🔗
