The Kragh Berglund studio in Copenhagen is looking for new talented interns for the fall semester 2025!⭐ We’re an ambitious landscape architecture firm that works within urban design, landscape, and planning. We’re looking for talented and engaged interns with a bachelor’s degree in landscape architecture, urban planning, or architecture. As an intern at Kragh Berglund, you’ll be part of a professional team of landscape architects, urban designers and architects who have a passion for building our future cities and landscapes with a strong focus on urban spaces, biodiversity, and rising water levels! Our projects are diverse and span from designing masterplans with all the streets, plazas and parks that come with that to the small scale of designing the actual urban furniture in these new areas. With offices both in Copenhagen and Stockholm you will get the opportunity to work with projects in all of Scandinavia! We are looking for interns who are engaged and wish to help us change the cities and landscapes that surround us – working to connect our neighborhoods with nature, bringing water back into the urban fabric and strengthening the life between the buildings. A small courtyard, high demands, no wasted space. At Banken in Stockholm, we tackled the challenge of maximizing bike parking, social areas, and greenery with meticulous planning—down to the last centimeter.   Bike Storage: 🚲 Two-tier racks, facing inward – sharing loading space to fit more bikes. 🚲 Convertible bike houses – designed with open sides, so they can become pergolas if demand drops. 🚲 Climbing plants soften the structures, breaking up the long corridor-like space.   Greenery with a Purpose: 🌳 Every species was chosen for beauty, durability, and pollination value. 🌳 Drought-resistant native perennials like buddleja, thyme, and honeysuckle. 🌳 Microclimate optimization – maximizing planting areas to make up for the lack of trees. 🌳 Sustainable watering – roof drainage is directed into raised planters.   Thoughtful Social & Play Spaces 🏠 Fixed furniture with accessibility in mind – tables wheelchair-friendly, benches with backrests and armrests. 🏠 A play area for the youngest – a sandpit with built-in seating and a toy storage box. 🏠 Discrete privacy solutions – trellises and raised planting beds create visual separation for ground-floor terraces.   Built to Last & Easy to Maintain 🛠 Durable materials – Thermowood, natural stone, sand, and steel. 🛠 Manual maintenance only – plant choices minimize pruning needs; surfaces designed for long-term wear. 🛠 Subtle night lighting – low pollard lights create safety without disturbing courtyard-facing residents.   A small space, woven with care. Welcome to our new interns, Livia, Mika, and Amanda! 🌟 Livia is from Hamburg, Germany and she is currently doing her bachelor's degree in urban planning at Bauhaus-Universität Weimar. She is working as a part of the competition team doing illustrations, maps and analysis. When she is not in the office, she enjoys playing tennis, doing yoga, or traveling to different cities. Mika is from Guangzhou, China and he is finishing his Master's degree in landscape architecture Københavns Universitet - University of Copenhagen He is also working as a part of KB's competition team. When he isn't in the office, you can find him aimlessly wandering Copenhagen with different flavors of ice cream from Ismageriet. Amanda is from a small city outside of Oslo where she studied landscape architecture at the The Oslo School of Architecture and Design as well as a year at Politecnico di Milano. Amanda has been working with renders, illustrations and plans for various competitions. When she is not in the office, she can be found swing dancing or out exploring Copenhagen.
