Advancing a new industrial era. If you think we’re doomed – think Again.

Om os

At Again we put CO₂ to good use. By combining millennia-old bacteria with cutting-edge technology, we turn CO₂ into carbon negative chemicals. Our novel biomanufacturing process collects the unavoidable carbon outputs from industry and reuses them to manufacture emission-free chemicals - a win-win for everyone. We’re leading the positive shift. Showing people that our world does have a future. If you think we’re doomed – think Again.

  • Over the past few years we’ve made huge progress in bringing our technology to market, but we haven’t always been the best at showcasing our achievements. That changes today.   We’re launching our new website to highlight how we’ve scaled our technology, shine a light on exciting new projects with industrial leaders, and better explain how our technology platform helps industry upgrade their existing infrastructure to turn their CO₂ waste into critical products.   If you think we’re doomed, think Again -> https://again.bio/

  • What an amazing first day at TechBBQ! 🌱🚀 Our co-founder, Torbjørn Ølshøj Jensen, joined Jan Miczaika from HV Capital for a fireside chat, sharing insights on the groundbreaking work we’re doing at Again and the future of CO2 utilization. The energy from the thousands of attendees here in Copenhagen has been incredible. One of the highlights? TJ's quip that had everyone smiling: "𝗢𝘂𝗿 𝗽𝗹𝗮𝗻𝘁 𝗶𝘀 𝘀𝗼 𝘁𝗮𝗹𝗹, 𝘆𝗼𝘂 𝗰𝗮𝗻 𝗽𝗿𝗮𝗰𝘁𝗶𝗰𝗮𝗹𝗹𝘆 𝘄𝗮𝘃𝗲 𝘁𝗼 𝗦𝘄𝗲𝗱𝗲𝗻 𝗳𝗿𝗼𝗺 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝘁𝗼𝗽—𝗶𝘁 𝘄𝗼𝘂𝗹𝗱𝗻’𝘁 𝗲𝘃𝗲𝗻 𝗳𝗶𝘁 𝗶𝗻 𝘁𝗵𝗶𝘀 𝗲𝘅𝗵𝗶𝗯𝗶𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻 𝗵𝗮𝗹𝗹!" Excited for day two and already looking forward to next year!

  • 𝐓𝐡𝐚𝐭’𝐬 𝐭𝐡𝐞 𝐟𝐮𝐭𝐮𝐫𝐞 𝐨𝐟 𝐜𝐡𝐞𝐦𝐢𝐜𝐚𝐥 𝐦𝐚𝐧𝐮𝐟𝐚𝐜𝐭𝐮𝐫𝐢𝐧𝐠. Our first-of-a-kind (FOAK) commercial plant turns up to 1 ton of CO2 per day into chemicals using natural, gas-eating bacteria. 🧪 We launched this carbon utilization (CCUS) plant more than a year ago in Copenhagen (Denmark) and since day 1 it is converting waste carbon dioxide (CO2) into important base chemicals for adhesives, plastics, textiles, and cosmetics, reducing their emission footprint massively. 👕🌱 Some of our team enjoy climbing the 10-meter-tall structure to check on the acetate manufacturing and catch the view. Today it’s Arvid Norberg, one of our process engineers. 👷  🔗 Learn more about our technology here: https://lnkd.in/eCHK4nyZ

Our co-founder Maximilian Kufner spoke with Forbes about the future of chemical manufacturing and current investments in the energy sector. 🏭 Forbes writes: Denmark-based Again has developed a technology that converts CO2 into chemicals that can be used by heavy industry. As things stand, the company has a carbon transformation facility running in Denmark and is working with chemicals company HELM on the development of low-carbon products. 🧪💭 “Our target market is large-scale chemical manufacturers who are under pressure to decarbonize their operations,” says co-founder Max Kufner. 🗞️ You can read the full article from Trevor Clawson here: https://lnkd.in/eJm-NSFW

  • **Again raises $43 million from GV and HV Capital to build full-scale decarbonisation plants.** We are excited to share that we have raised $43 million in series A financing to continue on our mission to decarbonise industry at scale by turning CO2 into valuable products. The round was co-led by HV Capital and GV (Google Ventures), with participation from KOMPAS VC, EIFO and CSC Leasing as well as our existing investors ACME Capital and Atlantic Labs. With this financing we will start delivering products to our customers, as we accelerate the global roll-out of our decarbonisation technology. We are also grateful to the many partners we work with who have made this milestone possible, including HELM AG, DTU - Technical University of Denmark and SINTEF. Finally, none of this would have been possible without the amazing work of the entire Again team, who are pushing the boundaries of biotechnology to solve the climate crisis. • Again & HELM AG have been nominated for the Innovation Award "Renewable Material of the Year 2024" at this year's Renewable Material Conference in Cologne! We are honored and excited to participate in the run-up to the award alongside other groundbreaking projects. We look forward to presenting our solution and connecting with partners across the entire value chain of the renewable carbon industry. The large base chemicals industry has long lagged behind on the global decarbonization agenda, but we are thrilled to see this beginning to change. Our CO2-derived acetic acid can replace fossil-based building blocks in key materials such as plastics, paints, coatings, and films. We believe our partnership will be the crucial step needed to rapidly commercialize this solution and start significantly reducing CO2 emissions. https://lnkd.in/gHQHQVf

  • 📣 We are #hiring "Our bacteria currently eats about a ton of CO2 per day" 🤓 If telling the story of how a tiny bug turns industrial emissions into valuable products sound like something you'd love to do, today is your lucky day! We are looking for an unreasonably ambitious ⚡️ PR & Communications Manager ⚡️ to help build our communications strategy and shout from the rooftops about all the cool things we do (hint: put CO₂ to good use and decarbonise chemical value chains) https://lnkd.in/dx8emEhv
