How can Europe's deep tech potential be further unlocked? In today's interview with CNBC our GP Thomas discussed the current status of the European deep tech ecosystem and what is needed to enable even more global deep tech leaders out of Europe: 🔹 𝗨𝗻𝗹𝗼𝗰𝗸𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗴𝗿𝗼𝘄𝘁𝗵 𝗰𝗮𝗽𝗶𝘁𝗮𝗹: The capital needed to scale deep tech in Europe already exists - we just need to unlock it more effectively. 🔹 𝗜𝗻𝗱𝘂𝘀𝘁𝗿𝘆 𝗰𝗼𝗹𝗹𝗮𝗯𝗼𝗿𝗮𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻: German corporates should look beyond in-house R&D and actively invest in and partner with startups to drive real innovation. 🔹 𝗦𝗺𝗮𝗿𝘁 𝗿𝗲𝗴𝘂𝗹𝗮𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻: Europe must act NOW on tech regulation to enable, not stifle, innovation. 🔹 𝗕𝗿𝗲𝗮𝗸𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝘀𝘁𝗮𝘁𝘂𝘀 𝗾𝘂𝗼: We shouldn't just maintain existing industries—we should support founders who are building something entirely new. As Head of Finance, he built out our financial and operational processes, took our reporting to the next level, and expanded the finance team. Now, as #CFO, Patrick will continue to lead all things Finance, further professionalizing our operations, while also making sense of and finding ways to execute all the ideas we throw at him.
