🌞 Institute Dr. Schrader at DGK Fortbildungskurs "Sonnenschutzmittel" 🌞 We were deeply honored to attend and participate in the DGK Fortbildungskurs "Sonnenschutzmittel," which took place on March 10th and 11th. The event featured an impressive lineup of presentations by Dr. Mathias Rohr, Dr. Elke Buck, and Dr. Stefan Benard. They shared their expertise on various testing methods, including the “gold standard” in vivo SPF - ISO 24444:2019 and fresh-off-the-press insights on HDRS ISO 23698:2024 and in vitro SPF - DPM ISO 23675:2024, and the ever-intriguing topic of Chemiluminescence (ICL-S/H).   The experience reached new heights with an exhilarating tour of the Institute Dr. Schrader, where we had the pleasure of showcasing our cutting-edge in vivo and in vitro techniques in sun protection and our ICL(S/H) experimental methods. Who knew science could be this much fun? It was truly a fantastic opportunity to engage with fellow enthusiasts in the sun protection research arena. We all left the event not only Illuminated but also excited for the collaboration that lies ahead in this dazzling and ever-evolving field. Bidding Farewell to Sabine Specht After Nearly 38 Years of Dedication In 1987, the perm was the hairstyle trend. Over the past 38 years, styles have changed, but one thing remained constant: Sabine Specht’s unwavering presence and passion at the Institute Dr. Schrader’s salon. For almost four decades, Sabine has been the heart and soul of our hair-testing salon. Our test subjects would never have known it without her. With her warm and caring nature, remarkable expertise, and deep commitment, she has left an unforgettable mark on the test subjects and all of us as colleagues. Always in good spirits, she brightened our days and brought smiles to our faces. Dr. Jutta Quadflieg, Head of the Hair Department and Sabine’s colleague for over 20 years, shared: "It’s hard to imagine our salon without her. But we will continue testing hair care products with our new colleagues in the same spirit." Our management team echoes this sentiment, as Thomas Meyer expressed in his farewell speech: "These have been years filled with experiences, challenges, and successes. Sabine never saw her work as ‘just a job’ - she was always there with passion and dedication. What sets her apart is her craftsmanship and ability to bring in fresh ideas and stay ahead of the times. Most importantly, she never lost sight of the people around her."
