     🥬🗑 Did you know that food waste is responsible for 10% of global greenhouse gas emissions? An urgent challenge that demands bold, actionable solutions. At #HelloFresh, minimizing food waste throughout our supply chain and for our customers is core to our strategy to reduce total emissions. Adam CJ Park, former HelloFresh UK CEO and now Managing Director of Factor US, joined a panel at The Economist Sustainability Week 2025 to discuss how business leaders can turn sustainability commitments into tangible actions. Alongside Sylvain Santamarta (Boston Consulting Group (BCG)), Maria Moræus Hanssen (Å Energi) and Vijay V. Vaitheeswaran (The Economist) Adam discussed how CEOs are turning sustainability commitments into concrete action. Some key takeaways from the discussion:  ✅ Integrate sustainability into core business strategy: At HelloFresh, we are constantly innovating to achieve win-win-win scenarios for the Planet, Customers, and Business. For example, our recent packaging innovation in the UK eliminated PET pouches, reducing our carbon footprint by 53% while enhancing customer experience and lowering costs.  ✅ Advocate for flexible yet stable policy frameworks that foster innovation and investment: For example, ensuring that packaging EPR fee structures incentivize sustainable practices is key to long-term progress.     📢Non-financial report 2024: Our progress in becoming the most sustainable food solution at scale We recently published our 2024 non-financial report highlighting our progress and impact in key areas like environmental, social responsibility, and corporate governance. 🔍 Some key highlights: ✅Green energy: We now run our sites for HelloFresh in Australia and Canada as well as our Canadian Factor, and Chefs Plate brands' production sites on 100% renewable electricity. In total 14 of our markets run their production facilities on green energy only.  ✅ Food waste: We implemented a Waste Driver Analysis (WDA) process across international markets, tackling food waste at its core. This resulted in a 17% decrease in food waste tonnage for our international meal kit segment in 2024. ✅ Food donations: As a result of food donation measures across the HelloFresh Group, we donated 8,799.4 tons of unsold edible food in 2024 . This represents 37% of our total  food waste. ✅ DE&I: In 2024, we launched three new Employee Resource Groups (African Heritage Network,  Black Heritage Network, Neuroinclusion, Empowerment, and Unity Network) and now we have 15 ERGs in total globally. We’re proud of being on track to achieving our goals that we set ourselves for 2025 to reduce food waste and carbon emissions across all of our verticals.     “Our product will change more in the next twelve months than it has in the last ten years,” Dominik S. Richter, CEO and Co-Founder of HelloFresh announced today at our Capital Markets Day. The #HelloFresh management team provided some exciting insights into our strategic vision for 2025 and 2026 and key objectives that will allow us to return to high-margin growth and strong cash flow in 2027 and beyond. HelloFresh Group is committing approximately €100 million to enhance our meal kit and ready-to-eat offerings across all of our markets. Some of the most significant product improvements include: - We will double the menu choices to include a wider range of healthy and vegetarian options, new and exciting cuisines and flavours, premium ingredients and increased portion sizes - Following a successful next-day delivery pilot in the UK, we will accelerate delivery times in all of our markets - The HelloFresh Rewards loyalty program will be progressively rolled out to improve customer satisfaction and retention - Our ready-to-eat brand Factor will start offering high-protein desserts, protein shakes, healthy snacks and juices in the US - Factor has already introduced meals catering to GLP-1 users, one of the most exciting trends in the broader food market, with the aim to create a holistic experience for GLP-1 users along their weight loss journey We also provided more information on our currently running efficiency program with which we are targeting approximately €300 million in annual savings by 2026, with 70% of these measures expected to be implemented by the end of 2025. We have already significantly changed our marketing strategy, we are increasing labor productivity, reducing capex, saving on indirect procurement, and are right-sizing our meal kit production footprint.
