Award-winning teamwork for the future of tram mobility 🚊 How can new technologies in tram transport be tested under realistic conditions – before ever hitting the tracks? A project team from IABG, Stadtwerke München GmbH München and us has made exactly that possible. The project has now received the Coup de Cœur Innovation Award from the Center for Transportation & Logistics Neuer Adler e.V. (CNA e.V.) 🙌 At the heart of the project is a new kind of tram simulator that brings together three essential components: vehicle technology, driver training and route simulation. 💡 Thanks to this technology, assistance systems, route layouts or new vehicle concepts can be tested virtually – before they go into operation. This creates a high level of decision-making confidence for operators, saves time and makes new infrastructure tangible across the board. The simulator also offers great potential for driver training – with realistic training scenarios that specifically strengthen safety and responsiveness. At GERSYS, we provide the matching interface – with intelligent displays that intuitively support drivers and help them better navigate complex situations. 𝗜𝗻𝗻𝗼𝘃𝗮𝘁𝗶𝘃𝗲𝗿 𝗧𝗿𝗮𝗺-𝗦𝗶𝗺𝘂𝗹𝗮𝘁𝗼𝗿 𝗺𝗮𝗰𝗵𝘁 𝗭𝘂𝗸𝘂𝗻𝗳𝘁 𝗱𝗲𝘀 𝗦𝘁𝗿𝗮ß𝗲𝗻𝗯𝗮𝗵𝗻𝘃𝗲𝗿𝗸𝗲𝗵𝗿𝘀 𝗲𝗿𝗹𝗲𝗯𝗯𝗮𝗿: Das Gemeinschaftsprojekt von IABG, Stadtwerke München GmbH und GERSYS GmbH ist vom CNA e.V. mit dem Coup de Cœur „Intelligenz für Mobilität, Transport und Logistik“ ausgezeichnet worden. 🏅 Der Simulator zeigt, wie moderne Assistenzsysteme den Straßenbahnverkehr sicherer und effizienter gestalten können. Ziel und Nutzen ist der Einsatz als Entwicklungsplattform für das nutzerzentrierte Prototyping moderner Assistenzsysteme für die Straßenbahnen der Zukunft. 🤝 Gemeinsam treiben wir das Projekt weiter voran: Der Fokus liegt jetzt auf der flexiblen Verknüpfung der drei wichtigsten Funktionsbereiche des Simulators: #Fahrzeugtechnik, #Fahrtraining und #Streckensimulation.
