🔔 News: A European team headed by GAF AG operates the Copernicus Contributing Missions Rapid Response Desk Service 👏 We are proud to announce that GAF AG, an e-GEOS S.p.A. 📍𝐂𝐨𝐩𝐞𝐫𝐧𝐢𝐜𝐮𝐬 𝐄𝐦𝐞𝐫𝐠𝐞𝐧𝐜𝐲 𝐌𝐚𝐧𝐚𝐠𝐞𝐦𝐞𝐧𝐭 𝐒𝐞𝐫𝐯𝐢𝐜𝐞 𝐑𝐚𝐩𝐢𝐝 𝐌𝐚𝐩𝐩𝐢𝐧𝐠 is operating in the mapping of the areas affected by the magnitude 7.7 #earthquake that struck #Myanmar on March 28. 🗺️ Rapid Mapping was requested to provide initial rough estimation, event extent and damage assessment #emergency mapping. Since activation, #mapping has been carried out for 19 different areas of interest, and the analysis of new areas is planned in the coming days. In the following map is the data visualization for the #MinKun area of interest (AOI03): 📍 out of 1,560 residential buildings, 1,251 have been damaged or destroyed. 📍 out of 14.1 km of cart track, 8.9 km have suffered potential damage. 🤝 Copernicus is a European Union programme managed by the European Commission's Joint Research Centre.
