🚀 Die HANNOVER MESSE zeigt die Zukunft der #Digitalisierung, aber viele deutsche Unternehmen sind noch nicht so weit - es fehlen einheitliche digitale Produktdaten. ❗ Das soll sich künftig mit dem von der #EU vorgeschriebenen Digitalen Produktpass (#DPP) für die meisten Produktgruppen ändern. Für den Erfolg von DPPs sind standardisierte digitale Produktdaten künftig ein Must. 🔎 Die Realität sieht aber anders aus wie Jan Büchel und ich, Institut der deutschen Wirtschaft, auf Basis einer aktuellen Umfrage unter 1.000 Unternehmen im #IW-#Zukunftspanel zeigen ( 👇 Link zum Kurzbericht im 1. Kommentar): 👉 Viele Unternehmen sind nicht auf den DPP vorbereitet: Nur eine Minderheit beschäftigt sich mit dem DPP bereits oder plant dies. 2/3 kennen DPPs nicht oder erachten sie als nicht relevant für sich. 👉 Nur selten sind digitale Produktdaten bislang #standardisiert: Etwa jedes 2. Unternehmen stellt ihren Kunden, Lieferanten oder andere Partnern digitale Produktdaten bereit, lediglich 18 % davon standardisiert. 💡 Viele Unternehmen erfüllen nicht nur unzureichend die digitalen Voraussetzungen, sondern es besteht auch noch Informationsbedarf in den Unternehmen zu den Vor- und Nachteilen des DPP. Damit DPPs sektor- und größenübergreifend funktionieren können, ist ein praktikabler Ansatz notwendig. Eine wichtige Basis sind hierfür bestehende globale offene Datenstandards.

Key highlights included: 🔹 ECLASS in RDF: Testing for Release 15.0 is underway, promising enhanced interoperability and data integration. 🔹 Importance of IEC 61360-2: This standard plays a crucial role in our conceptual data model, ensuring consistency and reliability. 🔹 Upcoming CRD Workshop: We're thrilled to announce a two-day workshop in Vienna this May 2025, where we'll dive deeper into these topics and more. A huge thank you to all the experts who contributed their insights and expertise.
