#EASA is inviting expressions of interest for its first Qualified Entity accreditation in Flight Simulation Training Devices and Flight Testing. Accredited entities will assist EASA by performing certification and oversight tasks in these areas. The EASA accreditation certificate is recognised by the competent authorities of EASA Member States, ensuring compliance with high safety and quality standards.   Deadline is 25 April 2025 (23:59 CET)   This is an opportunity for qualified organisations to contribute to aviation #safety and innovation.   More details: EASA website.

#EASA has issued its first Design or Production Organisation (DPO) approval for Air Traffic Management/Air Navigation (ATM/ANS) equipment. The approval was granted to MEP Voice Communication Systems (MEP), a company specialising in air-ground voice communication systems for Air Traffic Control services. This marks a major milestone in the journey towards a #safer, more secure, interoperable, and efficient operation of the European ATM network in all phases of flight. With this single EASA approval, MEP’s equipment is now recognised across the entire #EU market, streamlining regulatory processes and promoting consistency in ATM/ANS operations. #EASA remembers all those who lost their lives in the Germanwings Flight 9525 crash on March 24, 2015. Our thoughts are with their families and loved ones as we commemorate this tragedy, which occurred ten years ago today.
