🎥 Vibroacoustic measurements with the Fuselage Laser Scanner in the Acoustic Flight-Lab   A team of the DLR-Institut für Aeroelastik and the DLR - Institut für Systemleichtbau performed vibroacoustic measurements in the Acoustic Flight-Lab of the ZAL Hamburg. The in-house developed Fuselage Laser Scanner by the Institute of Aeroelasticity was applied to acquire vibrational data of the cabin. The footage shows a short summary of the measurement. Die Vehicle Equipment Bay (#VEB) von #CALLISTO beherbergt große Teile der Elektronik wie der gesamte On Board Computer und das aerodynamische Flugsteuerungssystem, erkennbar durch die Finnen. Am 12.02.2025 wurde die integrierte Vehicle Equipment Bay Structure für die Akustik Test Kampagne, die von unseren Partnern #CNES koordiniert wird, für ihre Reise nach Toulouse bei uns in Bremen abgeholt. Unterwegs stoppte der LKW in Stuttgart bei dem DLR-Institut für Bauweisen und Strukturtechnologie für Bauweisen und Strukturtechnologie, wo das Nose Fairing Module, das direkt über die VEB montiert wird, geladen wurde. In den letzten Monaten haben in Bremen beim Institut für Raumfahrtsysteme sowohl Integrationsarbeiten als auch zahlreiche Tests stattgefunden. Kurz vor der Reise wurde noch das Qualifikationsmodell des Aerodynamik Flugsteuerungssystem in die VEB eingebaut und funktional getestet. Mehrere DLR Institute haben zu diesen Arbeiten beigetragen: Das DLR - Institut für Systemleichtbau, das DLR-Institut für Flugsystemtechnik, das Institut für Systemdynamik und Regelungstechnik und das DLR-Institut für Aerodynamik und Strömungstechnik und Strömungstechnik. Die Vorbereitung der Kampagne mit DLR Beteilung ist nun fast abgeschlossen und die Tests werden diese Woche starten. 🚀

🔬 Experimental Validation for Composite Pressure Vessels 🔬 In our latest dataset, we present results from a hydraulic burst pressure test on a Type IV vessel, designed to burst at 200 bar. Before testing, the vessel was inspected using ultrasonic measurements to assess manufacturing quality. During the test, strain gauges at nine positions on the cylindrical part and one dome recorded the vessel's deformation behavior under pressure. 📊 The dataset includes: ✅ Nominal tank design and winding layup ✅ Geometrical measurements of a nominally identical vessel ✅ Ultrasonic inspection data ✅ Pressure and strain gauge data from the burst test This comprehensive dataset serves as an experimental validation basis for simulation methods aimed at predicting deformation and damage behavior of composite pressure vessels. 📄 Authors: Caroline Lüders, Sven Ropte, Daniel Schmidt, Dr. Martin Liebisch 🔗 Funded by the European Union under Grant Agreement No 101101917. 🛫 Measurement campaign in ZAL Center of Applied Aeronautical Research Acoustic Flight Lab to reduce interior noise of future aircraft. 🎚️ Within the LuFo project #ZEBRA funded by Bundesministerium für Wirtschaft und Klimaschutz and led by Airbus, the DLR - Institut für Systemleichtbau and the DLR-Institut für Aeroelastik performed vibro-acoustic measurements in the cabin of the AFL. These works are focused on the development of passive and active methods to reduce interior noise and to improve the passenger experience. In this campaign we collected surface vibrations of interior parts and sound pressures in the cabin. Also a system identification of a smart lining for active noise control was performed.
