In screen-sharing attacks, scammers contact a victim and pretend to be from a legitimate company (for example their bank). They often impersonate customer support representatives concerned about a security breach or salespeople offering assistance with a new product. After the victim downloads a screen-sharing app, scammers convince the victim to grant them access to their device, and, consequently, to their sensitive data.
