✨ Over the past few years, we’ve had the pleasure of working with Lightly Technologies and its CEO Monika Štěpánová on tasks ranging from #MarketAnalysis and #RegulatoryResearch to #BusinessValidation and #IPStrategy. Their "catcher" device can quickly analyze drugs on the spot. It "shines" through the substances, so it can spot otherwise hard-to-detect differences. With enough information, it can even create a digital map of the substance's movement. It has been an honour to contribute to the growth of the company through our work. 🚀 I have a new role this year that I am very excited about. I have become a member of the EIC - European Innovation Council Accelerator jury and just meeting the other jury members is hugely inspiring. Seeing the quality of the projects judged also gives me a reason to be optimistic about the future. Not sure about optimism in case of potential Czech applicants though. This week, Vojtech Nosek and I once again shared our experience in our long-standing collaboration with The World Bank and Ministarstvo znanosti i obrazovanja | Ministry of Science and Education on developing the innovation ecosystem in Croatia, this time on the topic of scouting experts.   Expert scouting is not "just about finding" an expert, but is a systematic service that includes: 1. Accurately understanding the company's need and motivation to find a research expert 2. "Translating" the company's need into the language of the expert and ensuring that the expert is motivated to work with the company 3. Not selecting just one or two experts, but offering the firm ideally five or more experts who have the interest and time to work with the firm to address its need so that the firm can choose the one with whom it has the best "chemistry" 4. Arrange an initial meeting so that the firm can easily get to know the experts 5.
