Our KIOS Research and Innovation Center of Excellence research team attended the 2nd Plenary Meeting of the GuardAI EU Project, in Athens! ✅ During April 10-11, 2025, partners engaged in productive discussions covering key aspects of the project, including coordination, risk assurance, and ethics. In addition, they collaboratively planned the development and implementation of the use cases. Looking forward to sharing more updates soon!

📍 Yesterday, April 14, 2025, the KIOS Research and Innovation Center of Excellence research team participated in the event titled “Cyprus Municipalities Step into the New Digital Era”, hosted at the CYENS Centre of Excellence premises. 💡 KIOS showcased cutting-edge Digital Twin technologies that are revolutionizing infrastructure management and urban resilience across Cyprus: 🔸 OCEANOS: A Digital Twin Decision Support System for managing Limassol’s drinking water network, developed in collaboration with the Limassol District Local Government Organization. 🔸 ZENON: An early warning and Digital Twin system that improves the operation of Larnaca’s sewerage network, developed in collaboration with the District Local Government Organization of Larnaca. 🔸 Cyprus Digital Twin: A virtual platform to assist with the management and operation of interdependent Critical Infrastructure Systems and can be used to assess the cascading effects of natural or manmade disasters. 🔸 SPARROWEU Project: Aiming to enhance societal resilience, SPARROW is developing a Digital Twin platform and advanced tools for emergency communication and collaborative crisis preparedness, especially in the face of digital disruptions.
