📢 Apprenticeships: Driving Innovation & Business Success Nestlé HQ   Yesterday, we hosted a thought-provoking event, following our first Board meeting of the year. This event brought together industry leaders, policymakers, and apprentices to discuss the transformative power of apprenticeships and their role in shaping the workforce of the future.   Key Takeaways from the Discussion: ✅ Youth Empowerment & Future Skills: Mia Seppo, International Labour Organization (ILO) emphasized the urgency of preparing young professionals for greening industries, digitalization, and the care economy, in line with the ILO Recommendation #R208 for quality apprenticeships. ✅ Apprenticeships as a Competitive Advantage: François Rohrbach, dsm-firmenich and Sonia Studer, Nestlé highlighted how work-based learning drives business growth, innovation, and workforce sustainability. ✅ Real-Life Impact: Former apprentice Ambre Reichenbach and current apprentices Ibrahim Nduwimana and Leo Lo Giudice shared how their journeys have boosted confidence, skills, and career prospects.   🎯 A standout moment: Gallup’s Diana Sonnenberg and Jeremie K Brecheisen presented the Careers of the Future Index (CFI), developed with Amazon. The CFI equips young people and businesses with data-driven insights on future-proof careers, an approach that aligns with GAN’s mission to prepare the next generation for the evolving labor market. Check out Gallup’s report here: https://lnkd.in/gbbUepST   💡 The discussion reinforced the key messages: Quality apprenticeships are strategic investments in business resilience, talent development, and economic growth, and the private sector stands as a crucial player in enabling them.   We are grateful to all speakers, apprentices, and participants for their valuable contributions. Let’s keep working together to scale high-quality apprenticeship programs worldwide! #Apprenticeships #FutureOfWork #SkillsForEmployment

🌍 Skills for Social Justice: A Key to Equality In a world striving for equality, skills development is the foundation of social justice. As Sangheon Lee shared at the Global Skills Forum, education and training are vital tools to combat inequality and ensure opportunities for all. 💡 "The lack of access to good training and education is a main source of inequality and social exclusion. Skills development must be inclusive, leading to real job opportunities and meaningful contributions to society." – Sangheon Lee By bridging the gap between training and employment, we can empower individuals to thrive while fostering inclusive societies. #SocialJustice #SkillsForAll #FutureOfWork #TBT
