What's happening here? Hint: It's the same area, based on three different kinds of multispec and RGB data over time. Why is it important? It's breaking ground on a new, effective way to manage invasive aquatic species. In fact, until now, there wasn't a lot of study into what a research team proved is possible (and totally repeatable) thanks to the Wingtra aerial survey solution. Let's talk about LIDAR data and money (and time, which is money). First thing to note is that you will never make more money off of drone LIDAR data than you can now (see carousel as to why). Second, if you choose the right system, you can make more in less time and for less hidden cost. Aerial LIDAR is not new, but when captured by a drone, it still is. So the quality is not surefire across systems. It's a complex technology that deserves some research before investment.
