Wingtra
Herstellung von Bauteilen für die Luft- und Raumfahrt
The professional VTOL drone for mapping and surveying
Info
We build aerial robots which combine the advantages of fixed-wing airplanes and multicopters. Aerial robots promise to revolutionize agriculture, inspection, filming, and transport. However, current platforms fail to deliver this promise because they are limited in maneuverability or range. Multicopters are limited by their flight distance, whereas fixed wing airplanes require expensive infrastructure such as runways, catapults or nets.

Wingtra Wednesday: Just this past week... 🚀 From open pit mines to ag fields and fast-changing construction zones, Wingtra pilots have been flying across the globe—delivering real results. 💧 In mining, FieldServe used WingtraOne GEN II to capture precise terrain data for hydrological modeling. Their 3D terrain models and 0.5m contours help prevent pit flooding and manage surface water risks. Thanks Obakeng Rankhumise 🌾 In agriculture, Richard Pickett called Wingtra “the most efficient and precise elevation collection tool on the market.” 🏗️ In Qatar, 56 ha were mapped in just 34 minutes during a MAP61 test flight. The result: detailed 3D outputs and streamlined workflows—even for users with limited surveying experience. Thanks Alexandros Lakatamitis 🧡 And in Salt Lake City, Wingtra CEO Maximilian Boosfeld led a live demo—shared by McLane Clements—showing firsthand how Wingtra performs in real-world conditions. All this in the last 7 days. Every week, more professionals are choosing Wingtra to collect better data, faster.

Are you still risking do-over flights and accidents with limited planning tools and outdated site views? Because WingtraCLOUD doesn't just offer a 3D view of a flight plan, it offers something no other software today does: the option to plan off of your last map of the same area. That's as current and detailed as it gets, folks! In this latest tutorial by Wingtra's Product Marketing Manager, Andy Ainsworth 🏃🏼 🚲 ✈ , you'll discover how to: 🔹Select data from a previous flight as the base map for real-time, high-resolution flight-plannig (vs. risking accidents planning around outdated landscape) 🔹 Use the measurement feature to ensure safe and precise flights 🔹Check your color-coded GSD and min-max heights as well as proximity to risky terrain with a quick tilt of the flight lines 🔹 Plan efficient, accurate, and compliant missions—every time Watch, learn and visit wingtra.com/wingtracloud to take your aerial survey workflows to the next level. #WingtraCLOUD #aerialsurveying #dronesurvey #surveydrone #aerialinsights #miningdrone #dronesafety

What's happening here? Hint: It's the same area, based on three different kinds of multispec and RGB data over time. Why is it important? It's breaking ground on a new, effective way to manage invasive aquatic species. In fact, until now, there wasn't a lot of study into what a research team proved is possible (and totally repeatable) thanks to the Wingtra aerial survey solution. In short, they: 👨🎓 Trained ten people on the Wingtra platform and data capture/processing 😲 Captured 163 datasets across six sites gathering three kinds of data 🤖 Trained an AI model to help manage different invasive aquatic species in the future Curious to learn more? Check out the full story here: https://lnkd.in/eWSpd84E Many thanks to Lauren Cresanti at the University of Vermont Spatial Analysis Lab and Mississippi State University for conducting such a powerful proof of concept and sharing it with us. This Wednesday customer spotlight is shared with our new partner in Qatar, Alexandros Lakatamitis, who tested out the new #WingtraGROUND integration and end-to-end workflow in the desert. While 38 is pretty mild heat there, the winds were out in full. Check out his feedback below. And don't hesitate to reach out to him with any questions or if you need a demo. Had an exciting experience testing our Wingtra One Gen II last Friday at the Qatar RC Airfield, making the most of the relatively mild weather (although I did end up with a bit of a sunburn). The drone efficiently mapped 56 ha while capturing stunning footage. Additionally, I had the opportunity to explore Wingtra's latest product, the #WingtraGround. Despite my limited surveying background, I found the integration process surprisingly straightforward. Here are the key insights I gained: - 🗺️ Mapping is crucial for Qatar's upcoming construction boom. - Traditional surveying methods Ground Systems, have their place although time-consuming to set up, rely heavily on overlaying on other maps and offer very little in terms of insights that developers are looking for. - State of Qatar's push towards digitization necessitates a shift in surveying practices to keep up with the pace of development. Digitalizing As-Builts is not Digitization. - The seamless and autonomous flight capabilities of the Wingtra Gen II were evident in the video footage captured during the #MAP61 Payload sensor's 3D mapping trials. Comparatively, my other drone struggled to match the speed of the #Wingtra One Gen II. - Despite the 38-degree weather, I wouldn't want to rely on outdated drones or manual land surveys. Setting up the mission beforehand in the office and letting the drone autonomously execute it on-site streamlined the process. - The entire flight lasted about 34 minutes, at a height of 80 m capturing 1,400 photos. - Seeing a VTOL that weighs almost nothing land autonomously at 10 knot wind gusts is something magical. #Drones #Mapping #Surveying #Innovation Wingtra

Did you know that flying BVLOS in certain project scenarios can save you 2-5 days of survey time? That's why it's such a big deal that governments are starting to allow this. Yet, as you can imagine, getting government approval requires a reliable system and some admin steps. Great news! In Europe, our partner Scandinavian Drone Solutions is certified to help customers through the BVLOS approval process with Wingtra, which has already proven it's reliable enough to fly authorized BVLOS in Europe. Reach out to us to avoid guesswork and slash days on your projects. Moe Thoraia Harry Crawford #BVLOS #droneknowhow #europeandroneregulations #WingtraOneGENII #surveydrone

Drone survey tech is evolving fast and changing the way people in every major industry work. It's great to see our partner Duncan-Parnell Inc. giving the construction managers of the future a demo with our end-to-end system. Imagine all the solutions these students will be a part of. We're so proud to be a part of them too. #aerialsurvey #constructionmanagement #dronetech #WingtraOneGENII #WingtraCLOUD
We had an amazing time at the North Carolina Society of Surveyors (NCSS) Annual Conference in Asheville! It was great to see #ConstructionManagement students from Western Carolina University join our Geospatial team for a day of hands-on learning and tech exploration. The students got to: 👉Learn about #GPS and Trimble Geospatial total station technology from Rick Lusher 👉See a Wingtra UAV demo 👉Explore other innovative solutions showcased at the expo A special shoutout to Paul Zytnik, Benton Szejk, Justin Duffie, and NCSS for making this such a great conference! We’re passionate about helping students gain practical experience, and seeing their enthusiasm for the industry was fantastic. Huge thanks to John Hildreth, PE and the WCU faculty for continuing to inspire these future leaders. #Geospatial #UAV #Drones

Let's talk about LIDAR data and money (and time, which is money). First thing to note is that you will never make more money off of drone LIDAR data than you can now (see carousel as to why). Second, if you choose the right system, you can make more in less time and for less hidden cost. Aerial LIDAR is not new, but when captured by a drone, it still is. So the quality is not surefire across systems. It's a complex technology that deserves some research before investment. We hope this carousel helps you simplify and organize the research so you get to a decision easier and faster. 👉 Visit all of our easy-access and helpful LIDAR drone resources at: wingtra.com/lidar-drone PS: Big thanks to Leo Z. L. at Inertial Labs, a VIAVI Solutions Company for the insights you shared and we folded into this one. #dronelidar #lidardata #GIS #WingtraLIDAR #WingtraOneGENII #dronetech #aerialinsights
