Really enjoyed being part of this well-organised course. The energy and engagement from the students over the two weeks was genuinely refreshing! Looking forward to the next one!
🚀 The pilot edition of the Life Support Systems Solutions from Space for Earth training course was a huge success! 🎉 🎓 As the first in our new “Space for Earth” series, this two-week course brought together 30 brilliant students from 15 nationalities to explore how space-based life support systems can inspire sustainable solutions on Earth. 👩🚀 🌍 🛰️ Participants delved into environmental control and life support systems with MELiSSA Space Research Program and received unique perspectives from ESA Commercialisation Gateway on transferring and commercialising space technologies. ♻️ Students learned from real-world case companies like VunaNexus AG, which transforms human urine into certified fertiliser, and HYDROHM, a spin-off of Ghent University, developing electrochemical technology for water treatment. 💧 Engaging in hands-on projects, students connected space innovation with real-world solutions that can make a tangible impact on Earth. ✨ 🔗 Read the full story and discover the innovative projects 👇 https://lnkd.in/dEe72JKb #ESAAcademy
